Founder · Self-taught Developer · AI Systems Engineer
I'm Nirjhor — aka SiliconJelly. A self-taught developer and AI systems engineer, and the founder of Persimmon Quest: an early-stage fitness and wearable-intelligence startup for the rising silver economy.
I grew up in Dhaka, then spent years breathing nature, stargazing, and touching lots of grass as an overworked international student in Southern Japan (Kyushu) at Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University. Twenty years in one of the world's least developed economies, then life inside one of its most developed — and oldest. Load shedding and traffic jams on one side, efficiency and predictability on the other. Both made the case for building things louder than ever.
Just like the great Gilfoyle once said, and I too believe: "It's not magic, it's talent and sweat." These days, all of that sweat is going into one question:
A 28-year-old today will be in their 80s by then. What if the clothes they wear could help them stay active, independent, and connected throughout life?
Aging should not mean giving up movement, curiosity, or joy. Yet most wearables stop at the wrist, and much of aging technology starts with illness and dependency. We want to start with possibility.
At Persimmon Quest we envision everyday apparel, footwear, and unobtrusive biosensors connected to AI models that learn from movement and physiological signals — and, as neurotechnology matures, potentially brain signals too. Through Quest View, our planned digital wellness platform, we aim to turn those signals into personalized, gamified fitness experiences and practical support for older adults and caregivers.

⏳ Why now?
The world is aging, and South Korea, Japan, and the wider Asia-Pacific region are at the forefront of that transition. At the same time, advances in smart textiles, soft electronics, biosensing, and machine learning are making a new category of everyday wellness technology possible.
We see Persimmon Quest at the intersection of active-aging fitness, intelligent fashion, and longitudinal wellness intelligence — not as another medical device, but as a consumer ecosystem designed to make movement motivating and healthy routines easier to sustain.
We're starting with South Korea and APAC, and looking for people who want to prototype and validate this future:
- 🔬 Early R&D partners, textile and biosensor researchers, research institutions
- 🤖 AI engineers
- ✏️ Industrial and fashion designers
- 💼 Visionary investors

I'm building for today's grandmothers and grandfathers — and for everyone who will become one. The future of longevity isn't just about adding years to life. It's about adding life to those years.
- 🔭 Previously at ROBU and Mongol-Tori, doing OpenCV for our Mars rovers — coding their eyes like this.
- 🙇 Deep into AI systems, GPU computing (GPGPU), and low-level stuff — and still shipping small AI products here and there.
- 🎓 Formerly studied Economics with a Data Science minor at APU, Japan. And Computer Science and Engineering at BracU before that.
- 🤟🏻 Geek about Japanese and Korean economy and culture, amateur beatboxer, aesthete, and a liberal, fun person to be with — who loves non-fiction and listening to other people's stories. Here's my personality profile, hiding a very tame ambiverted overthinker monstrosity. Tuning into my frequency requires a teardown of your traditional radiohead.
