fix(tv): show the sign-in code in large digits without boxes - #656
Conversation
The Android TV sign-in code drew each character in its own small tile, which left the digits too small to read from the couch. Draw the code as one line of 40sp Inter Bold with tabular, slashed-zero digits instead: an en space keeps the 4+4 groups apart, the zero stays distinct from O, and the text shrinks to fit longer server codes. It matches the rendered size of the Apple TV code. Both the QR sign-in screen and the phone pairing panel use the same composable.

The evidence page is now linked in the PR body: before and after captures of the QR sign-in screen on the same Android TV emulator and server, with both builds named. The pairing panel wasn't captured live because a phone simulator can't reach this emulator's pairing channel. It uses the same composable at the same card width, and the paired Apple TV pairing card was captured live (Silo-Server/silo-apple#865). |

Older servers send letter codes, and in Inter Bold a W or M is about twice as wide as a digit, so a per-character width estimate could pick 40sp for a code that then clipped in the card. Measure the code as drawn and scale it down to fit the width instead.

The new measured-size behavior also changes how longer codes render in the phone pairing panel on Android TV, but the evidence link covers only the QR sign-in screen. The PR explains why the pairing panel could not be captured; reviewers will need to decide whether that limitation is acceptable for this updated rendering. Problem
On Android TV, the eight-digit sign-in code is hard to read from the couch.
TvMarqueeCodeTilesgives each character its own rounded tile in a 260dp row, so the digits come out small. Both places that show the code use it: the QR sign-in screen and the phone pairing panel. Apple TV had the same design; see Silo-Server/silo-apple#864.Solution
Draw the code as one line of bold text with no tiles, matching Apple TV:
tnum) keep the columns even, and its slashed zero (zero) keeps0distinct fromOin older servers' letter codes. The system monospace font, Droid Sans Mono, has no slashed zero, so0andOlooked alike before. Apple uses SF Mono, which has one built in.W,M), and larger system font sizes.Pairs with Silo-Server/silo-apple#865
