Footer status details now take less space until hovered or keyboard-focused. Model, User and Organisation labels and long values expand in the existing scrollable row. Mongo hides only known RTT ≤250 ms and DB ping ≤100 ms; slower, loading, partial and unavailable values remain visible. Its badge is keyboard-focusable with a visible focus outline. Full text remains available to assistive technology.
The existing warning thresholds are retained: RTT >250 ms (slow >600 ms), DB >100 ms (slow >500 ms). This is presentation code; it changes no selection, authority, model routing or database operation.
Validation: 52 tests across eight footer suites; targeted static JS lint; existing footerPresentation browser regression; new candidate-source Chromium fixture covering normal, slow RTT, slow DB, partial/loading, outage/recovery, hover, sequential Tab navigation and identity focus. Native X browser Ctrl+zoom passed at 100/125/150/200/reset100, with widths down to 320 px and no neighbouring overlap. Normal Mongo width fell from about 191 px expanded to 86 px compact; high RTT stayed visible. Browser reads were mocked, with no live authentication or model requests. Receipts and screenshots:
.run/footer-compact-native/and.run/footer-presentation-regression/in the controller worktree.Merge decision: ready, Tier 1 evidence supports the bounded presentation improvement. Separate missing-model task and completed JVNAUTOSCI-2753 zoom-reflow work retain their scope. No deployment requested.
