Conversation copy actions now produce compact conversation concept IDs, and stored turns have stable source-backed references. Canonical conversation tools resolve both forms to the authorised source and bounded context with continuation. The existing reference inspector opens exact turns; ordinary conversation and unified message copy actions use compact references. Legacy JSON inputs remain supported.
Chat history remains authoritative. Source owner/invite checks precede title or content reads; references grant no access. Missing or duplicate stored turn IDs are unavailable, and array positions never become identities.
Validation: 52 targeted backend tests and 315 frontend tests passed, including rename/reordering, sharing/revocation, conflicting sources, bounded continuation and JSON compatibility. Python syntax and secret-scanning CI passed.
Authenticated localhost acceptance at candidate be4542c verified clipboard copy/paste into an agent, discovery and use of conversation_get and conversation_transcript_page, exact source/turn/text read-back, rename/reopen, desktop and 390px mobile rendering, return to originating content, and second-actor denial without private metadata. The successful request used provider-observed gpt-5.6-luna. Evidence was supplied through the task controller and its archive checksum was independently verified.
Merge decision changes — ready to merge. The repaired fixture gateway supplies the previously missing successful UI-to-agent evidence. Nonterminal continuation is covered by targeted tests; the browser fixture proves bounded context on an eight-entry source. Mobile acceptance uses Chromium emulation, and one successful agent trial does not establish broad model reliability or optimal cost. No public deployment requested.
