  • main-boot.cpp: orbis_ensure_data_layout makes memcards/ when missing (moving the cards a console without it kept in /data/PCSX2: .ps2/.mcr/.mcd/.mc2 files and folder cards; not .bin) and memcards/MemoryCard/, a PCSX2 folder card that keeps each game's saves apart, with the empty _pcsx2_superblock PCSX2's FileMcd_CreateNewCard writes (save sync tools such as argosy-sigil tell a folder card by the files in it;
  • fe_settings.cpp: ListCards lists the folders in memcards/ as folder cards (bytes 0), so the sheet's slot rows and the settings page offer them without gs.ini naming one; shown as "folder" (fe_options.cpp, index.html).
  • settings_test.cpp/test-settings.sh: a "cards" check for the folder listing.

Tested on a PS5 on firmware 13.40.

Description of Changes

added compability for "saves per game" MemoryCard folder from pcsx2

Rationale behind Changes

for better compability with romm sync and especially for rommps sync (other fork in my reps)

Suggested Testing Steps

  • make saves on default /pcsx2/<mcd228.ps2>
  • open new build
  • check that moved card is the same in new memcards folder
  • check memcards has MemoryCard folder
  • MemoryCard has superblock
  • select slot 1 card as MemoryCard
  • games has now zero saves (moving from memory card to separate folders is actually another task which i would gladly vibecode ant test in future)
  • check games asks for formatting MemoryCard folder
  • check games create new separate folders for themselves.
  • advanced: saves succesfully upload to romm server, saves tracked in rommps (with my build which i hope will be pushed as well), syncronized saves work on other devisec and vice versa

Did you use AI to help find, test, or implement this issue or feature?

Yes
I'm not used to any of languages from this repo. So ai made every line of code. I just tested, found my own bugs actually and fixed. Claude opus 5.5 high with pi, ponytail and my own local infrastructure with instructions from my main coding work

upd:
tested sync with ayn thor armsx2 (implements memorycard already)

…tter romm compatibility (AI-assisted)

- main-boot.cpp: orbis_ensure_data_layout makes memcards/ when missing (moving the
cards a console without it kept in /data/PCSX2: .ps2/.mcr/.mcd/.mc2 files and
folder cards; not .bin) and memcards/MemoryCard/, a PCSX2 folder card that keeps
each game's saves apart, with the empty _pcsx2_superblock PCSX2's
FileMcd_CreateNewCard writes (save sync tools such as argosy-sigil tell a folder
card by the files in it; an empty folder sent RomM sync's saves to slot 2's card).
- fe_settings.cpp: ListCards lists the folders in memcards/ as folder cards (bytes 0),
so the sheet's slot rows and the settings page offer them without gs.ini naming
one; shown as "folder" (fe_options.cpp, index.html).
- settings_test.cpp/test-settings.sh: a "cards" check for the folder listing.
- AI-AGENT-PR.md: the notice AGENTS.md asks for on a PR made via an AI agent.

Tested on a PS5 on firmware 13.40.
