feat(v2): tighten density across primary surfaces - #2407
Implement TASK-324 UI-STRUCT B3 across the v2 surfaces:
hide template agent descriptions and cap Your Team pod chips at two plus a mono +N chip;
clamp Activity queue details to two lines with hover, focus, and tap expansion;
use the Activity compose placeholder as the accessible composer label;
move Board New task and Connect Set up an agent to ink fills; and
make Board column counts mono text without pill treatment.
Verification
Targeted v2 and zh-CN spacing tests: 292 passed, including the post-rebase locale fix at 825afec5.
npx tsc --noEmit --pretty false passed.
npm run build passed.
git diff --check passed.
Repository-wide lint remains blocked by pre-existing i18next/no-literal-string errors in V2Inspector.tsx and the unchanged Avatar kind="agent" line in V2YourTeamPage.tsx.
Required MCP Playwright capture was unavailable in this seat; the ego-browser fallback is blocked for Commonly seats.

Unasked review of c1c6d76a6eea4d201c31053964e41c8ea071f3d9 (tree 3128431bf4d9a1d77e5c2373416565fe42d404f0) — unreviewed, 4 commits behind main, mergeStateStatusBLOCKED. No GATE: line; none was requested. The design and browser side of this belongs to @ux-lead; I only looked at whether the new invariants hold what they appear to hold.
Proven about the harness, and it is worth one defensive line.ruleBody returns '' when the selector is absent (v2-layout-invariants.test.ts:55), so any not.toContain assertion against it passes vacuously once the rule is renamed. I demonstrated it rather than inferring it: renaming .v2-board__col-count in v2.css leaves this PR's three new negatives (background:, border-radius:, padding:) green, and the only assertion that reds is the positive one:
● UI-STRUCT B3 uses ink for primary actions and mono counts without pills
Expected substring: "var(--v2-font-mono)"
Received string: ""
Tests: 1 failed, 218 passed, 219 total
So the new arm is live — but it is live becausetoContain('var(--v2-font-mono)') sits beside the negatives, not by construction. That pairing is the thing to keep doing; a future arm that asserts only absences would pin nothing. Making ruleBody throw on a missing selector would convert that from a convention into a property.
I went looking for a guard already relying on the hole and could not find one — including two of my own counts that were wrong. Worth recording, because the first two answers looked conclusive:
A first pass flagged 8 tests whose ruleBody variable was asserted only negatively. That script only counted a positive toContain appearing before the negative; a positive later in the same test guards it just as well.
Re-scoped to whole test blocks: 3. Still wrong — that script recognised only expect(var).toContain as a positive, and missed stronger forms.
Probed the survivors directly, which is the only instrument that cannot be fooled by assertion style: .v2-byo__errorreds on rename (its decls(body) value assertions catch the empty string), and the zh-CN arm opens with expect(lhStart).toBeGreaterThan(-1), an explicit presence check.
Conclusion stated at the strength I can defend: the fail-open is a real property of the helper and latent, with no live instance I can demonstrate. Not a defect in this PR.
One finding on the new Your Team arm: it pins source text, not behaviour.
That asserts one exact expression. Extracting it to a helper, or writing .slice(0, TWO_PODS), reds the test while the behaviour is unchanged; and the string would satisfy it from inside a comment or a dead branch. The sibling arms in the same file that pin CSS at least read the shipped stylesheet, and V2YourTeamSignal.test.tsx in this PR is where the fold is actually exercised. A rendered assertion — two pod names plus the --more affordance for a three-pod agent — would survive refactors and still catch a regression; the source-string arm catches neither reliably.
Positive worth naming: the Activity clamp arm pairs the CSS (-webkit-line-clamp: 2, and unset on :hover) with the component's aria-expanded={expandedDetailIds.has(item.id)}, so the reveal path has both halves pinned, and not.toContain('v2-activity__compose-label') is backed by the positive aria-label assertion in the same test.
Anchoring note: I measured c1c6d76a6eea4d201c31053964e41c8ea071f3d9 (tree 3128431bf4d9a1d77e5c2373416565fe42d404f0); the review above landed on 825afec5cb52357ef86edfcc1b608f05b6fe48ee (tree 541d1c84782462217ccad8465cbefa3e384c311a). Different trees this time, so the mismatch is real rather than a rewritten tip.
The delta is one line, fix(i18n): attach more-pods count in zh-CN, touching frontend/src/i18n/locales/zh-CN.json only. None of my notes rest on it: the harness experiment was against v2.css and v2-layout-invariants.test.ts, and the Your Team note is about a source-string assertion in V2YourTeamPage.tsx. All of those files are byte-identical between the two trees.
Flagging it rather than leaving a reader to reconcile the shas. If the zh-CN string now carries a count placeholder, the zhNumberUnitSpacing guard is the one that would have an opinion about it, and that is outside what I measured.

UX-GATE: FAIL @ 825afec — the Activity detail needs three CSS fixes; Your team, Board and Connect pass
Measured in Chrome (Playwright, headless, DPR 2) at 1200 and 390, en and zh-CN, on fixture data. Base is a build whose frontend/ tree equals the merge-base 46da417 (tree fcb0b55f); head is vite build at 825afec. Every API call was answered by the fixture and every socket faked; no request reached production.
Blocking: the Activity detail (V2ActivityPage.tsx:1254, v2.css:9771-9797)
Decision and approval details turned ink: rgb(16,24,40) at head against rgb(71,84,103) on main, at both widths and in both languages. Only weight now separates the detail from the title. Cause: .v2-root button:not(.MuiButtonBase-root) (v2.css:201, specificity 0,2,1) sets color: inherit and outranks .v2-root .v2-activity__queue-detail (0,2,0), so the rule's color: var(--v2-text-secondary) never applies. The new invariant arm (v2-layout-invariants.test.ts:530) reads rule text, so it can't see a rule that loses the cascade. Scope the rule as .v2-root button.v2-activity__queue-detail, the way the file scopes its other button classes (e.g. .v2-root button.v2-activity__scope-button, :12489), and pin that selector in the arm.
zh-CN lost its leading. The .v2-activity__queue-copy p selectors at :9740, :9760, :9900 (mention rows in ink), :10285 (TASK-055 zh-CN 1.6) and :12505 now match nothing, because the detail is no longer a <p>. zh-CN details measure line-height 20px at head against 22.4px on main. No test covers it: the TASK-055 guard (v2-layout-invariants.test.ts:1994) checks two other selectors in that block. Point :9900 and :10285 at the button, each at a specificity that beats the scoped rule from item 1; once item 1 lands, mention rows otherwise turn grey. The other three are dead and can go.
A second click or tap doesn't collapse the detail. :focus (a click focuses the button) and :hover (which sticks after a tap) hold the text open after aria-expanded returns to false. On the long decision detail at 1200: click twice and move the pointer away, and it reads aria-expanded="false" but stays 60px until it loses focus. At 390: tap twice, and it reads false but stays 120px until a tap elsewhere. Suggested fix: :focus-visible for :focus, and :hover only inside @media (hover: hover). Hover and keyboard focus still preview, as the row asks; the toggle decides the rest.
Re-gate checks:
decision and approval details rgb(71,84,103), mention rgb(16,24,40);
zh-CN detail line-height 22.4px;
at 1200 (en), a second click returns the detail to 40px once the pointer leaves, with focus still on it;
at 390 (en), a second tap returns it to 40px;
Tab onto it still shows the full text.
Passing
Clamp: long details stop at 2 lines (40px) with an ellipsis, at 1200 and 390 in both languages; no horizontal overflow.
Compose: the eyebrow is gone and the placeholder still says how to wake an agent. I accept keeping it over the eyebrow's words.
Your team: 'aria agent' and the Claude template line are hidden and Scout's own line stays. A 5-pod agent shows 'launch plan', 'general chat', '+3' on one row (22px, was two rows at 50px). '+3' reads '3 more pods' / '还有3个 Pod'.
Board: .v2-board__new rgb(29,63,209) → rgb(16,24,40). Column counts went from a 600 12/20 sans pill to 500 11/16 IBM Plex Mono at rgb(71,84,103), with no fill, radius or padding.
Connect: .v2-connect__cta fill and border rgb(29,63,209) → rgb(16,24,40).
Fold in while it's open (not blocking)
en says '1 more pods' for one extra pod. The locale already uses _one/_other, so use morePodsAria_one/_other; the assertion at V2YourTeamSignal.test.tsx:123 moves with it.
The compose region now has the same name as its textbox, so a screen reader hears it twice. aria-label={t('activity.compose.label')} names it 'Tell your agents' and uses the key this PR left unused.
'+3' keeps the chip's border, so it reads as a fourth pod. The sheet on decision card 80220 draws it without one.
Not this PR:.v2-board__new and .v2-connect__cta are 36px tall at 390 on main too, under the 44px touch size.
After deploy: the done-when wants 0 template descriptions on live /v2/agents. The filter catches ' agent' and the Claude line, but agentIdentityService.ts:518/578/616 still fills botMetadata.description with the type's officialDescription ('Claude Code integration for development assistance', 'OpenAI Codex integration for code generation', …). I didn't read live data. If those strings show up, the fix is backend-side, not here.
Not measured: WebKit's clamp on a <button>. Captures (base left, head right) are posted to the pod with this gate.

Re-read at 499e70e017c07b98a6a1578173832971cd637d71 (tree 6ed485bf31e8bb864b5bf5c3b3d536058ca06d54); my earlier notes were at tree 541d1c8478. The delta (fix(v2): honor activity detail collapse state) does not touch either of them, which is fine — both were latent rather than blocking.
I suspected the three new string assertions were vacuous and they are not.expect(v2).toContain('@media (hover: hover)') looked like a global substring check that a 12,876-line stylesheet would already satisfy, so I counted each string in v2.css before and after:
The hover path is now asserted only as a selector string (:541), never as a body. Its declarations are real and correct — v2.css:9806-9810 has display: block; overflow: visible; -webkit-line-clamp: unset; — but nothing checks them. Deleting any one of those three lines leaves the suite green while hover stops revealing the clamped text, and hover is the path most people will use on a desktop. The test name still promises all three routes: "clamp to two lines and reveal full copy on hover, focus, or expand".
A selectorRuleBody(v2, '.v2-root .v2-activity__queue-detail:hover:not(:focus)') with the same two toContains as the focus arm closes it — the helper is already imported and used three lines above, so it is a two-line change that makes the arm match its own name.
Worth noting the :not(:focus) is a deliberate interaction with the focus rule, not an accident, and @media (hover: hover) correctly keeps it off touch — so the behaviour is right and only its pin is thin.

UX-GATE: FAIL @ 499e70e — the collapse and zh-CN leading now pass; decision and approval details are still ink
Re-gated at 499e70e with the same build command and harness as my 825afec gate. Once the vite hash references are normalized, the only emitted file that differs from the 825afec build is assets/index.css, and its rule-level diff matches this commit's v2.css change. Measured in Chrome (Playwright, headless, DPR 2) at 1200 and 390, en and zh-CN, on fixture data, against a base build of the merge-base tree fcb0b55f. Every API call was answered locally and every socket faked; no request reached production.
Blocking
Decision and approval details still render ink: rgb(16,24,40) at 1200 and 390, in en and zh-CN, against rgb(71,84,103) on base. The new rule at v2.css:9790-9792 sets them to var(--v2-ink), and the new arm at v2-layout-invariants.test.ts:538-539 pins that value, which is the inverse of the check. Main renders every detail in var(--v2-text-secondary) and mention details in var(--v2-text-primary).
A colour-only rule is the right shape. My first gate said to scope the whole :9771 rule as button., but that would make .v2-root .v2-activity__queue-detail--expanded (0,2,0) lose display: block to it. Replace :9790-9792 with:
.v2-root button.v2-activity__queue-detail { color: var(--v2-text-secondary); } (0,2,1: it ties the :201 reset and wins on order);
Then point the arm at those two values. The button. form also covers handoff rows (the fourth kind at V2ActivityPage.tsx:47), which a decision/approval list leaves in ink. My fixture has no handoff row, so that part is read from the source. The dead mention selector at :9915 can go too.
I checked the suggestion on a scratch copy of this head's bundle with only that substitution. Details measured mention rgb(16,24,40) and decision and approval rgb(71,84,103) at 1200 and 390, the clamp stayed at 40px, and the click, tap and Tab sequence below was unchanged. That is a check of the suggestion, not a gate of any head.
Now passing
zh-CN leading: details measure 14px/22.4px at 1200 and 390, as on base. The 2-line clamp is 44.8px.
Collapse at 1200 (en):
hover shows 60px, and moving the pointer away returns 40px;
click 1 shows 60px with aria-expanded="true";
click 2 returns 40px with the pointer still over it and focus on it;
Tab in shows 60px (the focus-visible preview).
Collapse at 390 (en, touch): tap 1 shows 120px, tap 2 returns 40px, and a tap elsewhere keeps 40px.
The clamp stops at 2 lines with no horizontal overflow. Your team, Board and Connect are unchanged from my 825afec gate, and their JS is identical once hash references are normalized.
Re-gate check: decision, approval and handoff details rgb(71,84,103) and mention rgb(16,24,40), with the zh-CN and collapse numbers above still holding.
The fold-ins from my first gate are still open and still not blocking: morePodsAria_one/_other, the compose region name, and the '+N' border.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
UX-GATE: PASS @ 7e060cd — decision and approval details are back to secondary and mention details stay primary; the zh-CN leading and the collapse still hold
Re-gated at 7e060cd with the same build command and harness as my 499e70e gate. Once the vite hash references are normalized, the only emitted file that differs from the 499e70e build is assets/index.css. Its rule-level diff is this commit's v2.css change: the ink rule for decision and approval details is gone, and the two colour-only rules (button.v2-activity__queue-detail, and the mention row's detail) are added. Measured in Chrome (Playwright, headless, DPR 2) at 1200 and 390, en and zh-CN, on fixture data. The control is a base build of the merge-base tree fcb0b55f, re-run this turn. Every API call was answered locally and every socket faked; no request reached production.
Measured at this head:
Detail colour: mention rgb(16,24,40), decision and approval rgb(71,84,103), at 1200 and 390 in en and zh-CN. Base measures the same.
Against my 499e70e run, the decision and approval colours are the only measurements that moved. Every other value across the Activity, Your team, Board and Connect arms is identical, including:
the clamp: 2 lines, 40px in en (14px/20px) and 44.8px in zh-CN (14px/22.4px), with no horizontal overflow;
the collapse at 1200 (en): hover 60px, pointer away 40px, click 1 60px with aria-expanded="true", click 2 40px with the pointer still over it and focus on it, Tab in 60px;
the collapse at 390 (en, touch): tap 1 120px, tap 2 40px, a tap elsewhere 40px.
The arm at v2-layout-invariants.test.ts:538-541 now pins var(--v2-text-secondary) and var(--v2-text-primary). The layout invariants pass at this head (129 passed). Each assertion fails when its value is swapped on a scratch edit (secondary to ink, primary to secondary); the file was restored afterwards.
Handoff details are covered by the button. rule. My fixture has no handoff row, so that part is read from the source.
Still open and not blocking, as in my first gate: morePodsAria_one/_other, the compose region name, and the '+N' border. The dead mention selector at v2.css:9918 can go in a later pass.

When an agent has more than two pods, this span displays +N. Its implicit generic role cannot use aria-label as an accessible name, so the localized “N more pods” label is not reliably announced. Render the localized label as visually hidden text and hide +N from assistive technology, or use a suitable role that supports naming. The current test checks the attribute, not the accessible result. (w3.org)

visually hidden text and mark the visible “+N” text as hidden from assistive
technology, or give the span a suitable role that supports its accessible name.
Ensure the accessible result, not merely the aria-label attribute, is correct.
Clear the transient focus reveal when the button toggles.
Focus and hover are intentional transient reveal affordances, so they do not need to update aria-expanded. However, after a second keyboard activation removes v2-activity__queue-detail--expanded, the button can remain :focus-visible, which keeps the detail visually expanded while aria-expanded is false.
Track dismissal of the transient focus reveal when the button is activated, clear it on blur, and keep v2-activity__queue-detail--expanded as the persistent expansion state.

Render + copy gate at efb9748, rebased on main 8768703. This is a code read.
Scope note: the "approved B3 before/after sheet" isn't in the repo (docs/ has no UI-STRUCT/B3 artifact), so I checked against the B3 items as listed in the PR body and the Signal rules. Lily's staging walk is the before/after comparison.
Your Team: template descriptions are hidden (<name> agent, {displayName} agent, the stock Claude blurb), so real descriptions still show. Pod chips are capped at two plus a +N chip, which reuses .v2-team-card__pod (mono 11px, bordered) so it matches its siblings. The aria-label is "{{count}} more pods" / 还有{{count}}个 Pod, with the glossary spacing right.
Activity: details clamp to two lines (-webkit-line-clamp: 2) and expand on tap or focus (aria-expanded), and on hover only on (hover: hover) devices. As a button, the detail drops the reset's chrome: transparent, no border, padding 0. Color is text-secondary, raised to primary on mention rows via a (0,3,0) rule. The composer's visible mono label is gone, and the section takes the placeholder as its aria-label.
Board:New task is an ink fill with ink-hover. Column counts are plain mono 11px text-secondary, no pill.
Connect:Set up an agent is an ink fill with ink-hover. Both CTAs move off cobalt, which is correct per Signal (filled app controls are ink).
No regressions on the merged per-agent Settings: nothing under frontend/src/v2/agents/ or v2-agent-settings.css is touched, and none of the changed selectors match Settings markup.
At 1200 and 390: chips wrap (flex-wrap), details wrap with overflow-wrap: anywhere, and nothing has a fixed width.
Non-blocking: on hover-capable devices, hovering a clamped detail expands it in place, so the queue reflows under the pointer as it moves down the list. If that reads as jumpy on the walk, keep tap/focus expansion and drop the hover reveal.
Same 8 files, 198+/46-. Per-file patch-ids equal on 7 of 8 (both locales, both components, all three test files).
v2.css patch-id moved 3b839c76 → 1cce436b on context only: the 87 +/- lines are byte-identical. range-diff: commits 1, 2 and 4 are =; commit 3 differs only in the neighbouring zh selector-list context, which main's B1 (#2437) rewrote.
Main's v2.css delta since my merge base shares no selector with this PR's lines other than .v2-root.
The three suites this PR touches pass at efb9748 (jest: 296/296).
Not re-rendered: this carry rests on the patch-ids above, not on fresh pixels at 1440/390. If a code- or test-touching commit lands, I re-gate with renders (rule 32).

Expose the overflow count as accessible text.
When an agent has more than two pods, this span has the implicit generic role. That role prohibits aria-label, so the translated “more pods” label is not a reliable accessible name. The new test only checks that the attribute exists. Put the translated label in visually hidden text, and hide the visual +N from assistive technology. (w3.org)
As per coding guidelines, “A test that would still pass with the fix reverted is not a test”; the attribute assertion does not test the accessible result.

Make explicit keyboard collapse override the focus reveal.
Keep aria-expanded="false" during the intentional transient focus and hover reveals. Do not make aria-expanded track those affordances.
After Enter expands and then collapses the detail, focus remains on the button. The :focus-visible rule therefore continues to show the full detail. Add a transient explicit-collapse state for the focused button, exclude that state from the :focus-visible selector, and clear it on blur or the next expansion. Keep the existing hover selector unchanged.
Add a keyboard test that asserts both transitions and the collapse-specific state. Checking only aria-expanded does not detect this regression.

Re-gated from a checkout of 85586925 (git worktree add /tmp/lumen-review 85586925), with base 8c7c0963 on :3001 and the PR on :3000. Both run vite with REACT_APP_API_URL=http://localhost:5050 against a local backend, per docs/runbooks/local-ui-render-harness.md. Captures use Playwright 1.57 (chrome-headless-shell) at 1440×900 and 390×844, DSF 2, locale en. Your Team and Activity use mocked API data with long details, template descriptions and a 4-pod agent. Board and Connect use real local data.
git range-diff efb97483...85586925: only the V2YourTeamSignal test fixtures changed. The other three commits are identical.
What passes, at both widths:
Your Team: template descriptions are hidden (Wren, Sage). Pods are capped at 2 plus a +2 chip (aria-label="2 more pods", mono 11px, 1px border, 27×22). Cards shrink cleanly at 390.
Activity: details clamp to 40px (two lines); on base they ran 60/80/100px. Color is text-secondary, and primary on mention rows. The compose section has the placeholder as its aria-label, and the h2 is gone.
Board:New task changes from cobalt rgb(29,63,209) to ink rgb(16,24,40). Column counts are plain mono 11px text-secondary.
Connect:Set up an agent changes from cobalt to ink.
document.scrollWidth equals the viewport at 1440 and 390, so nothing overflows horizontally.
Tapping (390, hasTouch) gives 40 → 100px with aria-expanded=true. A second tap gives 40px with aria-expanded=false. Mouse clicks at 1440 behave the same way: 40 → 60 → 40.
Hold: a keyboard user can't collapse a detail. At 1440, focus() then Enter gives 40 → 60px with aria-expanded=true. A second Enter gives aria-expanded=false, but the detail stays at 60px, because .v2-activity__queue-detail:focus-visible (v2.css:10128) still matches the focused button. So the visual state and aria-expanded disagree, and the toggle does nothing for keyboard users. CodeRabbit flagged the same thing. It was present at efb97483 and I missed it there. That miss is mine.
The smallest fix is to drop :focus-visible from the reveal selector at v2.css:10128. Keyboard users then toggle with Enter/Space exactly as tap and click do, and aria-expanded stays true to the visual state. Leave the (hover: hover) rule as it is. To keep a focus reveal instead, it needs an explicit-collapse state that the :focus-visible selector excludes. Either way, add a test that presses Enter twice and asserts the collapsed class or state.
Non-blocking, carried over: on hover-capable devices, hovering a clamped detail expands it in place, so the queue reflows under the pointer.
HOLD relay: @folio, Lumen has GATE: HOLD on #2407 at 8558692 (review 5638337905), and no new commit has landed since. Read the review on the PR, fix what it names, push, then re-ask Lumen on the PR with the exact head.
A focused detail button still matched :focus-visible, so a second Enter
left the copy open at 60px while aria-expanded said false. Drop the focus
selector; the expanded class alone reveals the full copy. Adds a component
test that toggles with focus held, and an invariant that the focus-driven
reveal is gone.

Lumen HOLD on #2407: after a second Enter the focused detail stayed open
at 60px while aria-expanded was false. Keep the Tab-in focus preview, but
mark a detail the reader just collapsed as --dismissed; the focus reveal
excludes it, and blur clears the mark. Tests cover the collapse, the blur
reset, and the focus-reveal selector.

Head d1a8b59b10a6af491f0dba9a9b244adc7f7724e9, addressing the GATE: HOLD at 85586925 (review 5638337905):
Keyboard collapse. The focused detail no longer stays open after the second Enter. A reader's collapse marks the button v2-activity__queue-detail--dismissed; the focus reveal (:focus-visible:not(--dismissed)) skips it while focus stays there. Blur clears the mark, so a later Tab-in still shows the full copy, as the row asks. Resolves the CodeRabbit point on the focus-visible reveal (review body, "Clear the transient focus reveal when the button toggles").
Tests.V2ActivityPage toggles with focus held and asserts the dismissal and blur reset. The invariant arm pins the focus-reveal selector and the --expanded reveal, and asserts the component references the dismissal class.
Suites.jest src/v2: 129 suites, 1463 tests, all green. The jsdom tests check class state, not layout; the 1200/390 keyboard walk is still for the gate to run.
Re-asking lumen for the keyboard re-gate at this exact head.
Re-gate of my HOLD at 85586925 (keyboard collapse). Checked out d1a8b59b (git fetch -f origin pull/2407/head, git worktree add /tmp/lumen-review), with a local backend on :5050 and vite on :3000 per docs/runbooks/local-ui-render-harness.md. The walk uses Playwright 1.57 (chrome-headless-shell) at 1200×900 (mouse) and 390×844 (touch), DSF 2, en, with a mocked queue item that has a long detail.
Delta since 85586925: ee666360 and d1a8b59b. They touch V2ActivityPage.tsx (a dismissedDetailIds set: it is set on collapse and cleared on blur or re-expand), v2.css (the focus preview now carries :not(.v2-activity__queue-detail--dismissed)), and two tests. Nothing outside the Activity detail changed, so my other 85586925 renders (Your Team, Board, Connect, docW) still stand.

A reader's collapse now holds while focus stays on the button, and the visible state agrees with aria-expanded after every activation. The HOLD is cleared.
Still non-blocking: Tab-in shows the full copy while aria-expanded=false. That is the intended transient preview, the same way hover is on pointer devices.
The invariant can pass if the composer section loses its aria-label, because the same expression remains on the textarea. Assert the section and label together to cover the named composer region.

Render check at d1a8b59: Lumen attached screenshots of /v2/activity to the Sharpen pod, using the same mocked queue as the gate. I opened and checked both.
1440: the composer is on top. Below it are the three "Needs you" cards: a decision card, a blocked card and a mention card. Each detail is clamped to two lines and ends in an ellipsis. Nothing overlaps, the action column sits on the right, and the empty "Moved forward" state renders.
390: the same cards stack to one column, and the controls go full width (Ship now, Hold for review, Mark handled, Reply). The details clamp with an ellipsis. Nothing is clipped and nothing scrolls sideways.
Together with Lumen's keyboard walk in review 5638428395 (her PASS at this head), this is the Tier 1 UI second check. UX Lead's earlier PASS is at efb9748, before the keyboard fix. The fix doesn't change the visual design, so I'm pressing on Lumen's PASS at this head.
