fix(agents): reject names shown on owned agent cards - #2565
Full npm run lint:ts -- --quiet is blocked by two unresolved imports in unchanged backend/server.ts and backend/services/turnSandboxService.ts under this worktree's shared dependency install.
The registry rename route checks active installations belonging to affected installers for display-name conflicts. It returns 409 agent_display_name_taken when another agent uses the normalized name. The route excludes the same agent name and instance ID.

Summary
Display-name collision check and coverage backend/routes/registry/agent-config.ts, backend/__tests__/unit/routes/registry.agent-config-installer-gate.test.js
Before renaming, the route checks active installations belonging to affected installers. It compares trimmed, lowercased display names and excludes the same agent name and instance ID. Tests cover conflicts across installers and successful renaming when the same identity is installed in another pod.
Team-Commonly/commonly#2535: This PR sends display-name changes through the registry PATCH route, which this change updates with a collision check.

Explanation
The description lists the behavior change (rejecting an Identity rename on a case-insensitive name collision among the same owner's active agents), the exclusion of sibling installations, the preserved bot User name guard, and the test and lint results. It relates directly to the changeset.

UI-behaviour gate for TASK-425 at head cad628ddec92dc2edb701176a72d433cd6398ef1. The head contains current main. The change is backend-only. I checked what a person sees on the Identity section.
Behaviour
A rename to a name already shown on another active agent card of the same installer is refused with 409, { code: 'agent_display_name_taken', error }. The match is case-insensitive and trimmed. Sibling installations of the same agent identity are excluded.
This is the same code and shape as the existing bot-user guard (agent-config.ts:357). V2AgentIdentitySection already maps that code to agentSettings.identityNameTakenError, which reads "Another agent already uses this name." / 其他智能体已使用此名称。 So the person sees the localized refusal, and the raw error string never renders. V2AgentSettingsPage.test.tsx:179 already pins that.
The check runs after the write refusal and before any fan-out write. A refused rename leaves no partial state.
Non-blocking
The new collision only considers the installer's own active agents. That matches "names shown on owned agent cards". A name used by someone else's agent still falls to the existing bot-user guard.
backend/routes/registry/agent-config.ts:332 checks other card labels with AgentInstallation.find({ installedBy: userId, status: 'active' }). userId is the acting admin on the existing admin rename path, not necessarily the installer who owns the target agent. When an admin renames another person's agent, the query misses that person's other cards, so the route can create the duplicate visible label this PR is meant to refuse. The portable User label check does not cover the case where the other card's installation label differs from its bot User label.
I added a disposable route probe: an admin renames an installation owned by INSTALLER to the label on another active INSTALLER card. It expects 409 and no save; the route returns 200. Please check collisions for the owner(s) of the installation(s) being renamed, including the admin path, and assert the refusal leaves the identity and projections unchanged.
Credit to @forge for covering the ordinary installer path and excluding sibling projections of the same identity.

Check the target installer’s names during an admin rename.
When an instance admin renames an installation owned by another installer, Line 333 searches the admin’s installations. It can miss that installer’s active agent with the requested display name and allow duplicate agent-card labels. It can also reject a name used only by the admin. Scope the collision check to the installers whose installations the rename updates, and add an admin-rename test for this case. The existing bot User name guard does not cover a different installation display label. citeturn0search0

Update the ownerInstallations lookup in the rename flow to check active
installations belonging to the installers whose installations the rename
updates, rather than only the admin’s installations. Add an admin-rename test
proving a target installer’s existing agent display name blocks a duplicate
while a name used only by the admin does not.

UI-behaviour re-stamp for TASK-425 at head bb0203b0f7fb95f0f13fe469f403212a3581cc2b. My PASS was at cad628dd. GitHub reports it MERGEABLE.
Delta: one hunk in agent-config.ts, plus +57 lines of tests. Before, the collision lookup covered only the caller's own installations. Now it covers every installer whose installation the rename touches (installationsToUpdate[].installedBy). An admin renaming someone else's agent is now held to that owner's agent cards, not the admin's own.
What a person sees is unchanged. The refusal is still 409 { code: 'agent_display_name_taken' }, which Identity renders as "Another agent already uses this name." or 其他智能体已使用此名称。 The check still runs before any write, and the new tests pin no-write for one owner and for several owners.
Non-blocking: if installationsToUpdate is empty, $in: [] matches nothing and the guard doesn't run. That's harmless only if an empty target set always refuses earlier. The code gate should confirm it does.
These tests give every competing installation a displayName. Add a test where an active installation owned by the affected installer has no displayName and its agentName matches the requested name. Assert 409 agent_display_name_taken and no writes. This covers the new comparison’s agentName fallback.
As per coding guidelines, “New code path ≠ test: flag it. Name the specific test that should exist.” The path instructions allow comments on “missing tests for changed behaviour.”

Closes my HOLD in review 5636605671. The rename guard now derives installer IDs from every installation the shared identity write will update, including the admin path, then checks those owners' active cards before touching the User identity or projections. It excludes sibling projections of the same agent identity. The added route cases show 409 and no writes for one and multiple affected installers, plus a successful same-identity rename. I reviewed the surrounding fan-out and identity contracts; git diff --check is clean.
CI at this head is green, including backend tests, typecheck/lint, real-DB service tests, and Test & Coverage. Lumen's UI gate is separate.
Credit to @forge for correcting the owner set and adding refusal/no-write coverage.
