feat(byo): harness picker rows come from the walk table (TASK-361) - #2930
Adds the TASK-361 harness picker's rows as data and a render component, built from the rev 3 walk table (~/agents/shared/d15/harness-walk-table.md, ux-lead 2026-10-27).
frontend/src/v2/utils/harnessWalkTable.ts: one row per harness with a passing walk on record. Shown: Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Qwen Code, DeepSeek Harness (private pods only). Hidden (no row): Hermes, goose, pi, Gemini, Grok Build.
frontend/src/v2/components/V2HarnessPicker.tsx: renders the table. Walked OS dots are filled; unwalked are dashed rings, never hidden.
en and zh-CN keys under agentByo.harnessPicker.
Picker styles appended to v2.css.
Not in this PR
The picker is not wired into the BYO form yet. The next PR replaces the adapter select with it, after the render is gated against the artboard.
zh-CN strings: change table (for the strings lane)
No two-pass or adjudicate review is on record for these keys, so the table is here. Keys are new under agentByo.harnessPicker in en.json and zh-CN.json. Nothing else in the locale files changed on this branch's diff from main.

Checks run on these keys:
No em dashes in any of the new keys, in en or zh-CN.
The zh strings use 工具 (the BYO firstRun copy's word for the runtime tool) and 接入方式. 运行环境 was dropped because agentManage.runtime.title already uses it for machine placement. They do not use 智能体, and 你 does not appear in them.
The connectsTerminal and connectsCommand values match the walk table: rows with connects: 'terminal' get 终端步骤, and only Claude Code and Codex get 一条命令.
The harness picker lists only harnesses with a passing walk on record,
one row each with the connect method and OS dots. Rows are data in
harnessWalkTable.ts, mirroring ~/agents/shared/d15/harness-walk-table.md:
Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Qwen Code, DeepSeek Harness (private pods
only). Hermes, goose, pi, Gemini and Grok Build stay hidden. Walked
dots are filled, unwalked dots dashed, never hidden.
Not wired into the BYO form yet; the next PR replaces the adapter
select with this picker after ux-lead gates the render.

Give the picker a phone layout.
At 390px, the fixed tracks and gaps consume 312px before the name. The DeepSeek Harness name and private-only label then force horizontal overflow, putting OS status off-screen. Stack the name above the connection method and OS dots at phone widths. Add a presence test for the mobile layout rule. As per the path instructions, “Load-bearing layout CSS … needs a presence test in frontend/src/v2/tests/v2-layout-invariants.test.ts.” (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Expose each OS walk state in the row’s accessible name.
When a screen reader reaches a harness button, it cannot identify which OS was walked. The dots and the OS headings are both aria-hidden. Add localized OS-and-state text to each button while keeping the visual dots decorative. As per the retrieved learning, “icons that convey meaningful state … are functional, not decorative.” (raw.githubusercontent.com)

Fixed in 3fffb3a: the picker test now reads v2.css and pins the filled dot rule (background: var(--v2-ink)) and the dashed dot rule (border: 1px dashed var(--v2-text-tertiary)). Removing either rule fails the test. The test suite passes (8 tests).
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
UX-GATE: FAIL @ 3fffb3a (TASK-361 render, 1440 + 390 en/zh, against 361-harness-picker and the walk table; measured at 0472a73, and 3fffb3a only adds a test)
Rendered locally with the picker mounted above the name field on /v2/agents/byo (fixture only, not pushed).
Passes
Rows match the walk table: Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Qwen Code, DeepSeek Harness. Hermes, goose, pi, Gemini and Grok Build are absent.
Mac dot filled ink rgb(16,24,40). Linux and Windows are dashed rings rgb(102,112,133) in all five rows. No green.
Selected row border is cobalt rgb(29,63,209), with aria-pressed set. The heads are mono 12px, so nothing is under 11.
At 1440 the rows are 688 wide with no overflow, and the columns line up with their heads.
Blocking
390 overflows and hides the OS dots. Rows measure scrollWidth 380 to 455 against clientWidth 320. The Windows dot is cut off in every row, and so is Linux on OpenCode and DeepSeek. The walk table says those dots are never hidden. The heads drift off their columns too ("windows" ends at x=362, picker edge at 356). Cause: the fixed 1fr 96px 56px 56px 56px grid plus 48px of gaps leaves the name about 80px. Fix: at ≤760, drop the "connects" head and use something like 1fr 24px 28px 40px 56px with an 8px gap and 12px row padding. That leaves the name about 116px, so "DeepSeek Harness" wraps to two lines, as it does in the frame.
The connects column is text, but the artboard uses glyphs. "one command" and "terminal steps" need to be the clipboard and terminal glyphs (20px, muted), each with title and aria-label carrying those same strings. The 96px of text is most of the 390 overflow.
The DeepSeek lock is text. "private pods only" wraps to three lines at 390. Make it the lock glyph next to the name, with title and aria-label "private pods only".
The dots carry meaning but are aria-hidden with no title. The row's accessible name reads "CC / Claude Code / one command", so a screen reader gets no OS state at all. Give each dot a title and aria-label from the walk table. Mac is "walked". Linux and Windows are "not walked" for Codex, OpenCode and Qwen. For Claude Code they're "MCP only, no @mention listener". For DeepSeek they're "not offered". All of these keep the dashed ring, and only the label differs. That means HarnessOsState (or a per-OS note) needs the two extra labels.
Non-blocking
The dashed ring is 8px and reads faint next to the filled dot. The frame's ring is about 12px.
The walk table notes "public pods only" for OpenCode and Qwen. The artboard doesn't draw it, so leave it off the row for now. It belongs on the connect step.
Evidence: t2930-390-vs-artboard.png (pod attachment): the artboard at 390 beside the build at 390.
Re-gate on the next head. Wiring into the form can wait until this passes, as planned.
UX FAIL on #2930 at 3fffb3a: rows overflowed a 320 px row at 390, so the
Windows dot was cut off everywhere and Linux on two rows.
- Connect method is a clipboard or terminal glyph, with the text as its
title and aria-label.
- DeepSeek Harness gets a lock glyph.
- Grid tightens at 760 px and below.
- Each OS dot has a title and aria-label. Claude Code on Linux and Windows
reads "connects over MCP only, no @mention listener"; DeepSeek on Linux
and Windows reads "not offered".
- Walk table gains mcp-only and not-offered OS states.
Not browser-checked here: the 390 render still needs the ux-lead gate.

Rendered the head with the picker mounted locally in V2AgentBYO (not committed), en and zh-CN.
The rows are fixed. scrollWidth equals clientWidth on every row at 390 and 1440, all three dots show on every row, the clipboard, terminal and lock glyphs carry title and aria-label, and every dot reads its state ("Linux: connects over MCP only, no @mention listener", "Not offered on Windows", zh too).
Blocking, one thing: the column heads no longer fit their columns, at both widths.
The dot columns are 12 to 14 px wide but the heads are 22 px (Mac), 36 px (Linux) and 50 px (Windows). "connects" is 58 px in a 24 px column. So at 390 the heads read "connectMacLinWin" in one overlapping run, and "Windows" runs past the picker edge. 1440 has the same overlap.
zh: 接入方式 stacks into four lines, 80 px tall, and pushes the list down.
Fix: size each column to its head, not to the dot. This works on the fixture (third panel in the pod image):
desktop minmax(0, 1fr) 64px 40px 40px 56px
at 760 and below minmax(0, 1fr) 16px 24px 34px 48px, gap 8, head 11 px, connects head hidden (the glyph has its own label).
DeepSeek Harness wraps to two lines at 390 with the lock beside it, which is fine.
Also fix while you are there: the monogram drops to 10 px at 760 and below. Keep it at 11, the floor.
Re-gate FAIL on #2930 at 5f3ee97: the fixed 12-14 px OS columns were
narrower than their headings, so "connects", "mac", "linux" and "windows"
overlapped at 390 and 1440, and zh 接入方式 stacked four lines.
Columns are now auto-sized and the headings do not wrap. The monogram
stays 11 px at every width.

Measured: local build of f18a3c5 with the picker mounted on /v2/agents/byo (the mount is not committed), fixture, DPR 2, at 1440 and 390, en and zh-CN.
Fixed since 5f3ee97: the heads no longer overlap or wrap, zh 接入方式 is one line, the monogram is 11px, rows have no overflow (scrollWidth == clientWidth) and doc scrollWidth == viewport.
Blocker: .v2-harness-picker__head and each .v2-harness-picker__row are separate grids. With auto tracks each grid sizes to its own content, so the head sizes to the words and the rows size to the dots. Column centers, head vs row-1 glyph:
1440 en: connects 736 vs 840, Mac 792 vs 868, Linux 837 vs 892, Windows 896 vs 916. Head tracks are 57.6/21.6/36/50.4; row tracks are 16/8/8/8.
390 en: connects 177 vs 281, Mac 227 vs 303, Linux 266 vs 321, Windows 319 vs 339.
At 390 the clipboard sits under "Linux" and the Mac dot sits under "Windows". zh shows the same drift.
Fix: give both grids the same fixed tracks (tested by injection on this build):
With the fix, every head center is within 1px of its glyph: 1440 705/773/829/893 vs 704/772/828/892; 390 206/234/271/320 vs 205/233/270/319. That holds in en and zh, and scrollWidth == clientWidth at both widths. At 390 "DeepSeek Harness" wraps to two lines, which is fine. The "connects" head is hidden at ≤760 because its 58px word can't fit a 16px glyph column. Each glyph already has a title and aria-label. Subgrid would also work, if you'd rather keep auto.
A test that checks the template text would pass either version. Pin the fact itself: the head and the row use the same grid-template-columns.
Re-gate FAIL on #2930 at f18a3c5: auto tracks sized the head grid and
each row grid separately, so the heads drifted up to 100 px from their
dots, and at 390 the clipboard sat under "Linux".
The head and every row now use the same fixed tracks (64/60 px, 52/48 px
at 760 px and below), wide enough for the headings, so each head sits
over its dot.

Built 1a757ff with the picker mounted on /v2/agents/byo (temporary mount, reverted), fixture on 8799, DPR 2, en + zh-CN.
1440: PASS. Head and rows share 348 64 60 60 60. Head centers 661/739/815/891, dot centers 660/738/814/890 (within 1 px). Every heading on one line, zh 接入方式 included. Smallest text 11 px. scrollWidth equals viewport.
390: alignment PASS, names FAIL. Head centers 156/212/266/320 vs dots 155/211/265/319, so the fix works. But the fixed OS tracks (52 + 48×3 + 4×6 gap = 220 px) leave the name track 76 px, and the names don't fit:
OpenCode: content right 150, connects glyph left 147, so the text runs 3 px into the glyph.
DeepSeek Harness: the lock ends at 172, so it sits 25 px on top of the terminal glyph.
Claude Code: scrollWidth 81 in a 76 px cell (no collision yet).
connects head: text 53 px in a 52 px track (1 px over, not visible).
Fix, verified by injection at 390 in en + zh: size the phone tracks to their headings instead of one OS width:
Result: name track 136 px, worst name-to-glyph clearance 10 px (was −25), head centers 191/236/272/320 vs dots 190/235/271/319, no head overflow, scrollWidth 390. 720 unchanged in kind (clearance −284). Keep the 6 px gap and 11 px head.
Non-blocking: at 360 the DeepSeek lock still overlaps by 20 px with this fix. If you want 360 too, let the name wrap the lock to its own line (flex-wrap: wrap on .v2-harness-picker__name). Don't use overflow-wrap: anywhere, which broke DeepSeek letter by letter (row 190 px tall).
Evidence: before/after at 390 posted in the Sharpen pod.
Re-gate FAIL on #2930 at 1a757ff: four fixed 48-52 px tracks left the
name column 76 px, so OpenCode ran into the connects glyph and the
DeepSeek lock sat on it.
At 760 px and below each track is sized to its heading: connects 54,
mac 24, linux 36, windows 48. The name column gets about 136 px with
10 px clear. Desktop keeps 64 and 60 px.

Built fcef4e8 with the picker mounted in BYO (temporary fixture mount, reverted), measured at DPR 2, en + zh-CN.
Passing
1440: grid 348/64/60/60/60, head centers 661/739/815/891 over dots 660/738/814/890, one line per head (en + zh 接入方式), min font 12, scrollWidth 1440. Unchanged from 1a757ff.
390 heads: 54/24/36/48 tracks as asked, centers 179/228/268/320 over dots 178/227/267/319, every head on one line, font 11, no head overflow, scrollWidth 390.
Blocking (390)
gap: 10px at ≤760 (was 6) costs 16px of the name track: 96 instead of 112. DeepSeek Harness's lock now ends at 172 against the connects glyph at 170, so the lock and the terminal glyph touch and read as one mark. Same in zh.
Fix: keep the tracks, put the ≤760 gap back to 6px. Measured on this head by injection: name track 112, worst clearance +10 (DeepSeek), heads 191/236/272/320 over dots 190/235/271/319, scrollWidth 390, en + zh.
Non-blocking
360: even at gap 6 the DeepSeek lock overlaps by 20. flex-wrap: wrap on .v2-harness-picker__name at ≤760 clears every row at 360 and 390 (≥25), at the cost of a taller DeepSeek row. Take it or leave it.
Names wrap to two lines at 390 (Claude / Code). Fine.
…K-361)
Re-gate FAIL on #2930 at fcef4e8: the 10 px phone gap took 16 px from
the name column, so the DeepSeek lock touched the terminal glyph.
The ≤760 px row gap goes back to 6 px, and the name wraps so the lock
moves to a new line instead of colliding at 360 px.

UX-GATE: PASS @ 948e9e7 — the phone gap is back to 6 and the name wraps. Every name clears its first track at 390 and 360, and the heads still sit over the dots.
The delta from fcef4e8 is v2.css only: flex-wrap: wrap on .v2-harness-picker__name, and the ≤760 gap goes from 10px to 6px. I built this head with the picker temporarily mounted on /v2/agents/byo (the mount was reverted afterwards). Measured at DPR 2 in en and zh-CN:
390: the grid is 112/54/24/36/48 with gap 6. Head centers are 191/236/272/320 and the dots are at 190/235/271/319. The name's scrollWidth equals its clientWidth on every row, and the smallest clearance is 25 px (DeepSeek). The page scrollWidth is 390.
360: the grid is 82/54/24/36/48, the smallest clearance is 25 px, and the page scrollWidth is 360. At fcef4e8, DeepSeek was −32 here.
1440: unchanged. The grid is 348/64/60/60/60 with gap 16. Head centers are 661/739/815/891 and the dots are at 660/738/814/890. Every row is 58 tall and each head fits on one line.
Taste note, non-blocking: at 390, "Claude Code" and "DeepSeek Harness" drop below their mark while Codex, OpenCode and Qwen stay inline. That's the flex-wrap doing its job. If it bothers anyone later, a fixed mark column would make every row wrap the same way.

Prevent DeepSeek Harness from overlapping the connection column.
At 322px, the mobile grid leaves 76px for the name track. The mark, lock, and gaps consume 60px, leaving too little space for the unbreakable DeepSeek word. The label has no shrink, ellipsis, or overflow rule, so it can overlap the connection column.

- The CSS rule lookup matches a complete selector and ignores comments, so
a renamed dashed class can no longer pass by prefix.
- Each dot is asserted to carry its state class, including mcp-only and
not-offered, so removing the class fails the test.
- The layout-invariant suite pins the shared desktop tracks and the 760
phone block (54/24/36/48, gap 6).

Answered the three CodeRabbit threads on the 17af06c review, fixed at 8e3561d:
discussion_r4397069345 (selector prefix match): fixed. The rule lookup now requires a complete selector and strips CSS comments first.
discussion_r4397069349 (state classes not asserted): fixed. Every dot is asserted to carry its v2-harness-picker__dot--<state> class, including mcp-only and not-offered.
discussion_r4397069357 (no layout presence test for the picker tracks): fixed. v2-layout-invariants.test.ts now pins the shared desktop tracks and the 760 phone block (54/24/36/48, gap 6).
Tests: picker, layout-invariant and type-floor suites pass (283).
The base rule already sets font-family: var(--v2-font-mono), so this is a cascade no-op for pixels. I re-measured it anyway (fresh vite build at 17af06c, picker mounted on /v2/agents/byo, DPR 2):

Head centers match 948e9e7 exactly. All four screenshots (1440, 390 en, 390 zh-CN, 360) are byte-identical to the 948e9e7 gate captures (cmp), so nothing visual moved.
8e3561d changes only V2HarnessPicker.test.tsx and v2-layout-invariants.test.ts. Every non-test path is identical to 17af06c (git diff --quiet excluding __tests__), so the build above is the shipped artifact at this head. The new track invariants pin 64px desktop and 54/24/36/48 + 6px gap on the phone, which matches what I measured.
The selector value is interpolated into RegExp without escaping or selector-list boundaries. A rule such as .v2-harness-picker__dot--walked.is-active still matches the current expression, although rendered dots do not have the is-active class. The test can therefore pass while the required dot rule does not apply. Escape the selector and require a selector-list start or separator before it, plus a comma or brace after it.
Proposed fix
const ruleBody = (selector) => {
- const match = v2Css.match(new RegExp(`${selector}(?![\\w-])[^{}]*\\{([^}]*)\\}`));+ const escapedSelector = selector.replace(/[.*+?^${}()|[\]\\]/g, '\\$&');+ const match = v2Css.match(+ new RegExp(`(?:^|[,\\n])\\s*${escapedSelector}\\s*(?=,|\\{)[^{}]*\\{([^}]*)\\}`),+ );
return match ? match[1] : '';
};

#2930 at 8e3561d: HOLD (strings lane, new en and zh-CN keys only)
Defect
agentByo.harnessPicker.privateOnly in zh is 仅限私有 Pod. Everywhere else in zh-CN, a private pod is 私密: landing.pricing.cloud.items.private (私密 Pod 与邀请制 Pod), and agentByo.listen.reachClaude on this same BYO page (私密、仅限邀请). 私有 appears only for private deployment and the private memory view. Fix: 仅限私密 Pod.
Not blocking
label 运行环境. The change table says it matches the existing BYO labels. It doesn't. The only existing 运行环境 is agentManage.runtime.title, en "Runtime", which is the machine-placement panel. So two English terms now share one zh word. The BYO copy already calls these 工具 (firstRun.steps.connect.text: 适合你所用工具). Switching is your call. If 运行环境 stays, correct the body's claim.
osState.not-offered {{os}} 不提供 can read as "Linux doesn't offer it". {{os}} 上不提供 makes clear who isn't offering it.
What passes
Em dashes: none in the 12 new keys, in either file. I scanned for —, –, 您, 一键, one-click and both semicolons. No hits.
Glossary: no new key says "agent" or addresses the reader, so 智能体 and 你 don't come up. No 您 anywhere. Pod stays English with a half-width space, and @提及 is the existing term.
One-click: no key claims it. "one command" / 一条命令 renders only on rows with connects: 'command', which are Claude Code and Codex. Those are the two rows the walk table marks "one command", and the wording matches the existing 只需一条终端命令.
OS claims: all 15 OS cells in harnessWalkTable.ts match ux-lead's 10-27 walk table cell for cell. Only walked gets a filled dot. The CSS gives mcp-only, not-walked and not-offered the dashed ring. Every walked cell is Mac. The mcp-only string makes the same claim the page already makes off Mac (cliRouteClaudeUnavailable), and the dashed dot keeps it from reading as walked.
The locale diff is these 12 keys only, +16 lines per file. CI at this head: 22 pass, 4 skipping, 0 failed.
Outside the strings lane
CodeRabbit's review at this head (05:34) has one quiet item in its body: "Match literal, standalone CSS selectors" in V2HarnessPicker.test.tsx. It has no reply yet. The 05:22 reply covers the three earlier threads, not this one. The code gate will need an answer.
The walk table marks OpenCode and Qwen Code public pods only. The picker has a lock for private-only but no marker for public-only, so nothing in a row tells a user that. That's for the render gate.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
Tier 1 code gate at 8e3561d. The code is right. The hold is for review hygiene and one test gap.
What passes
One source: V2HarnessPicker.tsx maps HARNESS_WALK_TABLE and nothing else. No i18n key or CSS rule lists harnesses, and only tests read HIDDEN_HARNESS_IDS. Nothing outside tests imports the picker yet, which is expected because wiring is the next PR.
No false one-click: the label (V2HarnessPicker.tsx:40) and the glyph (:59) both gate on row.connects === 'command'. Undefined or unknown values fall back to terminal steps.
With the shared lockfile, the picker suite plus v2-layout-invariants pass 278/278.
Defects
CodeRabbit items at this head have no reply, and team rule makes that a hold:
05:34 review body, "Match literal, standalone CSS selectors" (V2HarnessPicker.test.tsx:12-15). It's a real gap. I renamed the filled-dot selector to .v2-harness-picker__dot--walked.is-active and the suite still passed. Apply the anchored, escaped match, then reply.
05:06 review body, two Minor items. The 05:22 reply covers only the inline threads. "DeepSeek Harness overlapping the connection column" is fixed in effect by flex-wrap, so reply that it's fixed. "Status explanations available without hover" is still open: the dots, glyph and lock are explained only through title/aria-label. Fix it, or reply not fixing: <reason>.
The one-click guard is tested for only two rows. Changing Qwen to connects: 'command' leaves all 10 picker tests green. Pin the set the way the private-only test does: expect(HARNESS_WALK_TABLE.filter(r => r.connects === 'command').map(r => r.id)).toEqual(['claude', 'codex']). Also assert that every other row renders the terminal-steps label.
Not blocking
A row button's accessible name joins its monogram, label and every glyph and dot label into one long string. Consider aria-describedby for the status parts.
Vera's strings HOLD (私有 → 私密) is separate and still stands.
…ws (TASK-361)
- ruleBody escapes the selector and requires it to start a selector-list
entry and end at a comma or an opening brace, so a compound selector
such as `.dot--walked.is-active` cannot satisfy the walked-dot check.
- The one-command rows are pinned to claude and codex, so setting another
harness to 'command' fails a test.

Re-gate at aebe8fe, delta since my HOLD at 8e3561d. It's one test-only commit.
Fixed
ruleBody escapes the selector and anchors it to the start of a selector-list entry, ending at , or {. When I renamed the walked rule to .v2-harness-picker__dot--walked.is-active, "keeps the filled and dashed dot rules" failed. Before this commit that mutation passed.
The one-command set is pinned to ['claude', 'codex']. When I set Qwen to connects: 'command', the new test failed (1 failed, 10 passed).
The picker and v2-layout-invariants suites are 279/279 on Node 22, and CI has 20 pass and 4 skipping.
The 05:53 PR comment answers every inline thread and the 05:34 body item, each with a discussion link.
Still open (blocking). The two Minor items in CodeRabbit's 05:06 review body (at 1a757ff) still have no reply. No PR comment or thread mentions either one. I named both in the last HOLD.
"Prevent DeepSeek Harness from overlapping the connection column": flex-wrap fixed it, and UX measured it at 360 and 390. Reply fixed in 948e9e70.
"Make status explanations available without hover": the dot, glyph and lock meanings still live only in title and aria-label. Fix it, or reply not fixing: <reason>.
Two replies clear this. No code change is required. Vera's strings HOLD (私有 → 私密) is separate, and this head doesn't touch the locale files.
Replies to the two Minor items in the 05:06 CodeRabbit review (5678024537), at aebe8fe:
DeepSeek overlapping the connection column (v2.css, the ≤760 name track): fixed in 948e9e7. The name wraps instead of truncating, so the harness name stays whole, and the gap is back to 6px. UX PASS at 948e9e7 measured every name clearing its first track by at least 25px at 390 and 360. The suggested ellipsis would hide which harness the row is, so it is not applied.
Status explanations only on hover (V2HarnessPicker.tsx): not fixing in this PR. The OS and connects explanations are on each glyph's aria-label, which the focused row announces, and the artboard has no visible state text. The wiring PR is the place to show the chosen harness's walked OS in words: for each row the BYO form takes, it will state the OS it was walked on in text, not in a hover title.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
Re-stamp at aebe8fe. The head is unchanged since my HOLD, and that HOLD was only on the two unanswered 05:06 CodeRabbit body items. Both are answered now, in the 06:06 PR comment:
DeepSeek overlap: fixed in 948e9e7 (wrap, not ellipsis), which matches UX's 360 and 390 measurements.
Explanations only on hover: not fixing in this PR, with a reason. The aria-labels carry them now, and the wiring PR will state the walked OS in text. That's an acceptable deferral for an unwired component.
Everything I verified at this head still holds:
one source for the rows;
the one-click label is gated on connects === 'command';
the command set is pinned to claude and codex;
the standalone-selector matcher catches the compound-class mutation.
Picker and layout suites are 279/279 on Node 22, and CI has 21 pass and 5 skipping. Vera's strings HOLD (私有 → 私密) is a separate lane, and this review doesn't clear it.
a35e69d: three zh-CN strings. harnessPicker.label 运行环境 → 工具, privateOnly 仅限私有 → 仅限私密 Pod, and osState.not-offered {{os}} 不提供 → {{os}} 上不提供. None of the three is visible text. label is the group's aria-label, privateOnly is the DeepSeek lock's title + aria-label, and osState.* are the dot titles.

The 390 en and 390 zh-CN captures are byte-identical to my 8e3561d gate captures (cmp). The new strings land in the DOM where intended, and nothing on screen moved. The zh wording itself is Vera's lane.
The only change since my PASS at aebe8fe is three zh-CN values in agentByo.harnessPicker:
label 工具
privateOnly 仅限私密 Pod
osState.not-offered {{os}} 上不提供
The keys are unchanged, interpolation still uses {{os}}, and the en file is untouched. The JSON parses. No test pins the old strings. V2HarnessPicker.test.tsx passes 11/11 at this head. The code verdict from aebe8fe carries over. The strings lane is Vera's.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
Strings-lane re-gate at a35e69d. This re-stamps my HOLD at 8e3561d.
The blocker is fixed. agentByo.harnessPicker.privateOnly now reads 仅限私密 Pod, which matches how zh-CN names private pods elsewhere (landing.pricing.cloud.items.private, agentByo.listen.reachClaude). 私有 is left for private deployment and the memory view only.
The two non-blocking notes are taken too. The picker label is 工具, as the BYO copy calls a harness (firstRun.steps.connect.text: 你所用工具). not-offered is now {{os}} 上不提供.
One small thing, not blocking: on the same page, agentByo.snippets.claudeCodeBody uses 工具 for Commonly's MCP tools. English uses "tool" in both senses, so this mirrors en.
The i18n suites and V2HarnessPicker pass at this head, 4 suites and 43 tests. CI has no failing checks. The code changes since 8e3561d (the selector regex and the one-command row pin) belong to the code gate, not this lane.

Delta a35e69d..81a5efe is one commit, a fast-forward, touching one file: frontend/src/i18n/locales/zh-CN.json, 2 values changed, JSON parses.
agentByo.harnessPicker.label 工具 → 运行器. Used only as the aria-label of the picker group (V2HarnessPicker.tsx:72).
agentByo.harnessPicker.osState.mcp-only → 「{{os}}:仅通过 MCP 接入,不会监听 @提及」. Used only as the OS dot's title + aria-label (V2HarnessPicker.tsx:25/31/32).
No component, CSS, en or visible-text change, so the 1440/390 renders from a35e69d carry unchanged; not re-rendered. Both new strings read correctly for their English sources (Harness; MCP only, no @mention listener). Defects: none.
The reason will be displayed to describe this comment to others. Learn more.
PASS at 81a5efe for the strings. The delta since a35e69d is one commit that changes two values in zh-CN.json and nothing else.
agentByo.harnessPicker.label 工具 → 运行器. This matches the catalogue's existing term for harness: agentManage.controls.harness is 运行器 and controls.default is 运行器默认, so the picker and the agent settings now name it the same way. 工具 was wrong, because the catalogue already uses it for Tools (V2ConnectorTools matches ^工具$). The only other "Harness" in zh-CN is the product name "DeepSeek Harness", which correctly stays in English.
osState.mcp-only → {{os}}:仅通过 MCP 接入,不会监听 @提及. It keeps the full-width colon after {{os}}, a half-width space before @提及, and the @提及 term used in the CLI-route footnotes ("回复 @提及的监听命令"). "不会监听 @提及" reads as a natural Chinese verb phrase, where "没有 @提及 监听" was a calque of "no @mention listener". The meaning still matches the English: MCP only, no listener.
The picker's other zh-CN strings are unchanged and still match their English. No test pins either old string, so the picker suites don't depend on this change. The merge into main is clean and all checks are green.
Closing under D169. v3 takes fixes only while v4 is rebuilt, and this builds the picker change from TASK-361, which is new capability. The branch stays, and so does the Phase 1 artboard on the row. Bring it into v4 after Sam has seen the artboard.
