test(v2): scan every v2 source for a hardcoded production API host (TASK-428) - #2941
…ASK-428)
The invariant listed three files by name, so a copy surface added later
(the invite modal, Your Team) could hardcode api.commonly.me and pass.
Scan all non-test v2 sources instead, and keep the non-default URL check
on the setup command.

The BYO setup command invariant test now scans eligible TypeScript and JavaScript files across the v2 directory. It excludes test and mock sources and checks that more than 20 files are included.

Summary
Source discovery and host assertion frontend/src/v2/__tests__/byo-setup-command-invariant.test.ts
The test recursively discovers eligible v2 source files, excluding __tests__, __mocks__, and .test. files. It requires more than 20 discovered files before checking for hardcoded production API hosts.
Team-Commonly/commonly#2727: Updates the same invariant test and removes hardcoded daemon command hosts that the broader scan would detect.
Team-Commonly/commonly#2568: Replaces hardcoded API URLs in v2 components that the broader scan would detect.
Merge Risk: Low · up to d3131
The invariant can miss hardcoded hosts in supported modules and can pass with an ineffective matcher; these localized test gaps should be fixed before relying on the check.

Vite 5 supports .mjs and .mts modules, but this filter skips both. A v2 module with either extension can hardcode the production host without failing this test. Include these extensions and test their discovery. (v5.vite.dev)

Update the file-extension filter in the scan so it includes Vite’s .mjs and .mts
modules alongside the existing extensions, while continuing to exclude test
files; add coverage verifying that both extensions are discovered.

Add a positive control for the scan.
The count proves that the scan found files, but it does not prove that it covers nested sources or detects the host. Add a fixture with the host in a nested source file and assert that the same discovery and matching logic detects it.
As per path instructions, source assertions must “include a positive control showing the pattern matches known-present text.”

Extend the test around SOURCES with a positive-control fixture placing the host
in a nested source file, then verify the existing discovery and matching logic
finds that file and detects the host.

The scan is not vacuous. On this head, walk() over frontend/src/v2 (excluding tests, mocks and .test. files) yields 126 source files, and the new expect(SOURCES.length).toBeGreaterThan(20) guard would fail a mis-rooted walk. The path arithmetic holds: __dirname is v2/tests, so V2_ROOT resolves to v2 and read() joins from the same root. No file in the walked set currently contains api.commonly.me, so the zero-match expectation is a real pass, not a skipped loop. The exclusions are the tests and mocks, which are correct to skip.
