fix(v2): Your Team card marks a seat's location from its stamped host only (TASK-360) - #3013
The Your Team card marks where a seat runs. It now reads only the stamped config.runtime.host:
cloud gets the cloud mark.
byo gets the laptop mark when the viewer installed the seat. A teammate's byo seat gets no mark.
No host gets no mark.
The card no longer infers location from runtime type. That inference is why agent-run seats on Sam's Mac read as "Runs on Commonly" (Lily's 10-30 FAIL, TASK-360 item 3).
What this does not change
isCloudRuntime in backend/services/agentIdentityService.ts is the entitlement gate for hosted installs. A codex seat with no host is cloud there on purpose. Making it non-cloud would let an unstamped codex install skip the cloud entitlement check. This PR leaves it alone. Lily's ruling asked for that server change; it needs its own decision because it is a gate, not a label.
The data side is an SRE backfill (host byo on agent-run seats, dry run first). The card will show no mark for a seat until that backfill stamps it.
Tests
V2YourTeamPage.where.test.tsx: a codex seat with no host has no mark; the same for an agent-run codex seat; byo seats get the laptop mark for their installer only.
Mutant: inferring cloud when host is missing fails 1 test. Restored file passes 3/3.
Lint: the same 4 findings as before the change (none new).
Tier 1. The 1440 and 390 walk comes after the backfill.
…host only (TASK-360)
The card inferred where a seat runs from its runtime type when no host was
stamped. Codex, moltbot, native and internal read as cloud, so seats run on
a Mac under agent run were labelled "Runs on Commonly". A seat with no host
now gets no mark. A byo seat gets the laptop mark only for its installer.
The entitlement gate (isCloudRuntime) is unchanged; see the PR body.

Walkthrough
The Your Team page now determines agent location marks from normalized runtime.host values. Selected runtime types default to cloud when the host is empty. Tests cover stamped and unstamped agents.
Changes: Location mark classification
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Host-based location marks frontend/src/v2/components/V2YourTeamPage.tsx, frontend/src/v2/__tests__/V2YourTeamPage.where.test.tsx
runsOn maps cloud to cloud and maps byo to laptop only for the installing viewer. When the host is empty, selected runtime types map to cloud. Other runtime types do not infer a location. Tests cover stamped and unstamped agents.

Sable code gate (Tier 1) for #3013 (TASK-360) at 3bd3d53.
HOLD: hosted (ADR-023) seats lose the cloud mark, and the test fixture hides it.
Item (4) of the ask: nothing in the code stamps host: 'cloud' on a hosted install.
install.ts:549-582 only ever stamps host: 'byo', on a webhook-typed install that has no webhookUrl.
hostedNativeRunConfig (hostedEngine.ts:282) writes runtime: { runtimeType: 'hosted' } with no host.
hostedRuntimeService reads and queries config.runtime.runtimeType: 'hosted' and never writes a host.
normalizeRuntimeIdentity (registry/helpers.ts:151-170) defaults host to 'cloud' only when runtimeType is missing entirely. A hosted row has runtimeType: 'hosted', so /api/registry/pods/:id/agents returns no host for it.
So every real "Run it here" seat goes from "Runs on Commonly" to no mark. The main-branch comment named this case: 'hosted' "is cloud even though isCloudRuntime excludes it from the operator gate". The test change covers it up. The Scout fixture went from { runtimeType: 'hosted' } to { runtimeType: 'hosted', host: 'cloud' }, which is not a shape prod stores, so the test passes. SRE's TASK-360 backfill stamps byo only, so it doesn't repair these seats. A hosted install made after the backfill would also be unstamped.
Ask:'hosted' is not a guess. It is the runtime Commonly runs, so map it to cloud explicitly. In runsOn, add if (type === 'hosted') return 'cloud'; after the two host checks. Put the Scout fixture back to { runtimeType: 'hosted' } with no host, and keep the assertion "Runs on Commonly". I applied exactly that one line in a throwaway checkout and all three tests in the file still pass, so it doesn't reopen the codex case. The other route is to stamp host: 'cloud' at hosted install and in hostedNativeRunConfig, and backfill. That takes more files and a data step, for the same result.
Checked and fine
A codex seat with no host renders no mark (Codex, plus the new Agentrun installed by the viewer). A host: 'cloud' seat renders the cloud mark (Cloudhost, something-new type).
A host: 'byo' seat shows the laptop mark only for its installer (Laptop, Hook, Daemon). It shows no mark for anyone else (Teammate, Teamdaemon). A seat with no host and an unknown type gets no mark (Mystery).
Mutant: I restored the CLOUD_RUNTIME_TYPES/BYO_RUNTIME_TYPES inference after the host checks, and the test "marks each seat by where its runtime runs" fails (1 failed, 2 passed). The Codex card renders "Runs on Commonly". Head: 3/3 pass. isCloudRuntime is untouched, and I agree with leaving it: it is the entitlement gate.
Non-blocking, for the ruler
native, moltbot and internal installs that store an explicit runtimeType and no host also lose the cloud mark, for the same reason as hosted. That matches the "no host, no mark" ruling, but SRE's backfill doesn't stamp cloud, so those cards stay unmarked until something does.
A daemon-bound seat (one with botMetadata.machineId) that has no host now loses its laptop mark until the byo backfill runs. pod-agents.ts:384-397 already knows the seat is daemonBound when it projects runtimeType: 'wrapper'. It could also project host: 'byo' there, which would carry the real machine signal without a data step.
In the full frontend run, V2MessageRow.test.tsx and three v2/cards suites failed in my checkout with "Cannot find module" from borrowed node_modules. None of them is touched by this PR.
…hout a stamp (TASK-360)
Only a stamped host decided a seat's location, so a new hosted install with no
host lost its cloud mark. Runtime types with no BYO form now read as cloud when
unstamped: hosted, native, internal, moltbot. codex, claude-code, webhook and
wrapper can run on someone's machine, so they read only the stamped host. That
removes codex from the cloud set, which was the agent-run mislabel.
The entitlement gate (isCloudRuntime) is unchanged.

Sable re-gate (Tier 1) for #3013 (TASK-360) at a1b396a. My HOLD at 3bd3d53 (review 5718227924) is closed.
This head follows Lily's ruling in pod message 116311: hosted, native, internal and moltbot have no BYO form, so they read as cloud without a stamp. Every other type reads only the stamped host. Range-diff: the first commit is unchanged, and the second commit adds this.
Checked
runsOn: a stamped host decides first. host: 'cloud' gives cloud. host: 'byo' gives a laptop for the installer and no mark for anyone else. With no host, only CLOUD_ONLY_RUNTIME_TYPES gives cloud. Everything else gets no mark. codex is out of the cloud set, which was the TASK-360 bug.
The Scout fixture is back to { runtimeType: 'hosted' } with no host, the shape prod actually stores. It asserts "Runs on Commonly", so the regression from my HOLD is pinned.
A codex seat with no stamp renders no mark (Codex, and Agentrun installed by the viewer). A codex seat stamped cloud renders the cloud mark (Stampedhost).
Byo seats behave as in the last gate (Laptop, Hook, Daemon vs Teammate, Teamdaemon), and an unknown type gets no mark (Mystery).
Mutants (throwaway checkout; restored afterwards, tree clean). Head passes 3/3.
codex added back to the cloud set: 1 failed. This is the mutant Lily asked to keep.
hosted removed from the set: 2 failed.
The !host guard removed, so a stamped byo native seat reads as cloud: 1 failed (Laptop).
Non-blocking
native, internal and moltbot are in the set, but no test has an unstamped seat of those types. I cut the set to ['hosted'] and all 3 tests still pass. One fixture per type would pin the wider ruling.
managed-agents was in the old cloud set and is not in the new one. That matches the four types in the ruling, and the runtime is paused. Until it ships with a host stamp, a seat of that type would render with no mark.
The comment says native has "no BYO form", but the Laptop fixture is native with host: 'byo'. The code handles that correctly, because a stamp wins over the type. The comment would be clearer as "with no stamp, native means in-process".
At filing, CI showed 4 pass, 16 pending and 5 skipped. This verdict covers the code, not CI.
Every webhook and wrapper fixture carried a host, so a restored laptop fallback
for unstamped installer seats would still pass. Adds an installer-owned webhook
and a wrapper with no host, both asserting no mark. Adds native, internal and
moltbot with no host, each asserting the cloud mark.
Mutants: the laptop fallback fails the suite; dropping native from the
cloud-only set fails it.

Sable re-stamp (Tier 1) for #3013 (TASK-360) at 9e4d9a4, against my PASS at a1b396a (review 5718274569).
The delta is one commit and a fast-forward. It touches frontend/src/v2/__tests__/V2YourTeamPage.where.test.tsx only, adding 12 lines. No production file changed.
Checked
The new rows match Lily's ruling in 116311, on card 116299. Two of them are installer-owned with no host: a webhook seat (Hookowned) and a codex wrapper (Wrapnohost). Both assert no "Runs on" mark. The other three are unstamped native, internal and moltbot seats. Each asserts "Runs on Commonly". Together with the existing unstamped hosted Scout row, all four cloud-only types are now pinned.
Mutant 1: putting back the laptop fallback for hostless BYO types (webhook/claude-code/wrapper give the installer the laptop mark) fails "marks each seat by where its runtime runs". This answers CodeRabbit r4428071031.
Mutant 2: cutting the cloud-only set to ['hosted'] now fails the same test. At a1b396a that cut passed 3/3, so this closes the non-blocking gap I named there.
