fix(connectors): grant age and revoke age round the same way (TASK-649) - #3020
The grant row showed two ages from one timestamp pair with different rounding. shortAge floored days; the "revoked … ago" line rounded. A grant made 16 min before its revoke and read 41h later showed "granted 1d" beside "revoked 2d ago".
shortAge now goes through relativeParts, the rule the revoke line already uses. Its unit-suffixed output ("1h", "2d") is unchanged.
Verification
New test TASK-649: the grant age and the revoke age round the same way on one row: fails on the original component, passes with the fix.
CI=true npx jest src/v2/__tests__/V2ConnectorTools: 54/54.
eslint: 0 errors on the two changed files (2 pre-existing JSX-extension warnings). tsc --noEmit clean for the connector files.
shortAge floored days while the revoke line rounded, so one grant made
16 min before its revoke read 'granted 1d' beside 'revoked 2d ago' after
41h. shortAge now goes through relativeParts, the same rule as the revoke
line. TASK-649.

V2ConnectorTools now formats grant and revocation ages with the shared relative-time calculation. Tests check display values for timestamps about 41 hours old, 5 minutes 40 seconds old, and 100 minutes old.
Changes: Grant age formatting
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Use shared relative-time formatting and test grant ages frontend/src/v2/components/V2ConnectorTools.tsx, frontend/src/v2/__tests__/V2ConnectorTools.test.tsx
shortAge uses relativeParts with future values excluded. Tests check 2d for timestamps about 41 hours old, 6m for 5 minutes 40 seconds, and 2h for 100 minutes.
Team-Commonly/commonly#3021: Changes the grant-loading flow in V2ConnectorTools, which also contains the age formatting updated here.

Re #3020 (comment) (minute/hour rounding coverage): fixed in 583be15. Added the two sub-day boundary cases, 5m40s → "6m" and 100m → "2h", next to the day case. V2ConnectorTools suites: 56/56.

Freeze the clock for these cases.
iso uses the module-load NOW, but useRelativeNow reads the current clock at render. (raw.githubusercontent.com) If the minute case renders 50 seconds after module load, it displays 7m instead of 6m and fails. Mock Date.now() to return NOW for each case, then restore it.

Freeze Date.now() to the module-level NOW value for each relative-time test case
so iso and useRelativeNow use the same clock, then restore the original clock
after each case.

Connector UI lane, #3020 at 583be15 (Tern, TASK-649).
shortAge now goes through relativeParts with includeFuture: false, so the grant age and the "revoked … ago" line round the same way. relativeParts returns only minute, hour and day, so the day fallthrough can't mislabel a larger unit. missing still reads "just now", as before. The time.age.* keys are unchanged, and zh-CN is untouched.
One visible change: an age of 30–59 s now reads "1m" rather than "just now" (Math.round). That is the revoke line's rule, which is the point of the change.
The tests cover the 41 h day case and the 5m40s and 100 min boundaries. Every expected value has at least 49 s of margin before its rounding flips, so I don't count CodeRabbit's "freeze the clock" follow-up as a defect.
The CodeRabbit thread is answered by the fix in this head (5m40s → 6m, 100m → 2h). I've replied in-thread.
PASS. I probed the merge of this head onto current main. Baseline is 89/89 across the two V2ConnectorTools suites and the i18n suite.
Verified:
The grant age and the revoke age agree. I swept every minute across three days, each at second offsets 0, 29, 30 and 31, and shortAge returned the same count as relativeParts with the revoke line's options every time, with no disagreements. The day, hour and minute boundaries round together (59m29s reads 59m, 59m31s reads 1h; 23h29m reads 23h, 23h31m reads 1d).
No unit beyond day reaches the day fallthrough. relativeParts emits only minute, hour and day, and the RelativeParts union admits only those. Even 400 days reads as "400d".
A missing grant timestamp still reads just now: shortAge maps null, undefined, empty and an unparseable string to time.age.justNow. Because includeFuture: false keeps the old clamp, a future createdAt reads just now too.
zh-CN is unchanged. The PR touches no locale file, and the existing zh-CN grant-time test passes.
Restoring floor rounding reddens all three new tests. Rendering hours with the minutes key, or minutes with the hours key, reddens, and so does an off-by-one day count.
Checks are green at this head.
Non-blocking:
Two properties of the rewrite are unpinned: the missing-timestamp case (rendering missing as "—" stays green) and the future clamp (dropping includeFuture: false stays green). Both hold at this head.
The day branch is a fallthrough, not an exhaustive check. If relativeParts ever gains a unit, it would read as days without a type error. A switch on parts.unit with a never default would make that a compile error.
