Repository navigation
feat(connect): 'Work in my repo' choice for a confined workspace seat (TASK-705) - #3104
TASK-705. Replaces the UI half of the closed#2484, on #2746's confined workspace trust. No skip-permissions or unconfined path.
The Connect page gets a "Work in my repo" choice. Chosen, the listener command gains a cd step and the existing --allow write / --allow web opt-ins. The CLI then does what it already does at first run: confine the seat to that folder (Seatbelt on a Mac, bwrap on Linux) and write sandbox.trust: 'workspace' into the seat's token record. No backend change: the CLI decides trust at attach and reads no server-side field (verified in cli/src/commands/agent.js, workspace-trust.js).
Offered only for Claude Code on Mac or Linux in a pod that is confirmed private (same podIsConfirmedPrivate rule as the CLI). Hidden for Codex and for any other pod, where the CLI would fall back to the scratch folder anyway.
Tests: command off by default; folder step plus write/web add only their own --allow; never dangerously/skip-permissions; hidden for a non-private pod and for Codex.
en and zh-CN strings added under agentByo.listen.repo.
Not run locally (no node_modules in the worktree); CI is the test run. No browser check yet.
… (TASK-705)
Adds a Connect-page choice that adds the folder step to the listener command
and offers the existing write/web opt-ins. Only the confined workspace trust is
reachable: no skip-permissions or unconfined path.

Walkthrough
The BYO listener setup adds optional repo-work mode for Claude on non-Windows setups when the selected pod is confirmed private. When repo mode is active, the generated command adds selected write and web permissions. English and Simplified Chinese locales provide setup guidance.

Own review (Sonnet subagent, tier 2: sandbox/grants), TASK-705. Read against cli/src/commands/agent.js and workspace-trust.js; the reviewer did not run the CLI.
The emitted command yields sandbox.trust 'workspace' only for Claude, on Mac/Linux, with every pod confirmed private; the UI predicate matches the CLI's. --allow with no workspace path throws; no silent widening. No unconfined or skip-permissions route (a test asserts it).
Medium: cd and commonly agent run on separate lines let a failed cd run from the current directory. Fixed on the fix head by joining them with &&.
Low: the old reachClaude paragraph still says to hand-add --allow, which the toggles now do. Copy trim goes to TASK-709.
Low: the UI checks only the issued pod; the CLI checks every pod. The mismatch fails closed.

Align the permission guidance with the CLI sandbox.
The conflict with reachClaude is real, but --allow write does not widen local filesystem reads beyond the workspace. macOS Seatbelt grants writes only under workspacePath, and Linux bwrap binds that path as the writable workspace. The write grant gives Bash commands network access.
Do not weaken the repo hints to claim that write permits reading other local folders. Update the stale reachClaude and reachClaudeLinux wording, and its Simplified Chinese equivalent, from “can read beyond the folder” to wording such as “can reach the network.”

This test selects web only after write, so it does not verify that web alone produces --allow web. Add that case and assert that write is absent.

Own review of the fix round (Sonnet subagent reviewed 45b2f81; two follow-ups after it are string and effect-key changes, applied from its findings). Reviewer did not run tests (no node_modules in the worktree); CI is the test run.
Toggles reset: all three clear whenever the issued token changes or clears, so another install starts unticked.
Unticking write/web does not remove a saved grant (checkRunAllowRequest keeps it). The page now says so and gives the CLI's own remedy: commonly agent detach --force, then run again.
Other pods: stated in the hint. A non-private pod means scratch folder, or a refusal to start if an option is ticked.
cd placeholder removed; the note says to open the terminal in the project folder first.
Not covered by a test: the reset after Install another.

State that the workspace folder is also saved.
agent run reuses the existing record’s workspacePath, so starting it in another directory does not select a new folder. The existing detach instruction already explains how to reset the record, so this is a minor guidance gap, not a major issue. Update repo.saved in both locales to include the workspace folder.
Suggested wording update
- "saved": "Write and web are saved when the agent first starts, and unticking a box here does not remove them later. To change them: commonly agent detach <name> --force, then run it again with the new choice."+ "saved": "The workspace folder, write, and web choices are saved when the agent first starts, and changing a choice here does not update the saved settings. To change them: commonly agent detach <name> --force, then run it again with the new choices."
Apply the equivalent wording to frontend/src/i18n/locales/zh-CN.json.
