fix(connectors): 390 page matches the d215 frame (TASK-733) - #3156
Follow-up to #3143 for the D223 frame diff on prod (b5b486e): 1440 passes, 390 scored 0.48 because the frame has a 52px mobile top bar and a 3-across grid of 115x104 tiles that live lacked.
At phone width (≤640px) the page now renders:
a 52px head: title, search icon (the field opens under the filter, or stays open while a query is typed);
the All / Channels / Tools filter in the body, full width, under the head;
one merged grid, channels then tools, the add tile last, with no group titles or meta line;
one "+N off" under the grid for every inactive tile.
Wide layout is unchanged (the phone branch is a matchMedia render choice in a small usePhone hook).
Proof
Measured at 390 in a mocked-API Vite run: head 390x52, filter y=64, first tile 115x104 at (12,106), second at x=137. These are the frame's numbers (div.mtop @0,0 390x52, button.tile @12,106 115x104, @137,106).
Tests: two new phone-layout tests (one grid, no titles, filter in the body, search behind an icon, add tile last; one "+N off" for every inactive tile) and a presence test pinning the 52px head, 12px body padding and 104px tiles. src/v2 + src/i18n: 2073 passing; tsc clean; eslint 0 errors.
The score on staging is still to come from the operator run.
Standard check
The filter segments stay 28px tall inside a 32px control (the frame's value), below the 44px touch target. I kept the frame so the layout diff holds; the search icon's hit area is 44x44. Say if you want the segment taller and I'll take the nearest passing size.
…er below, one grid (TASK-733)
Prod frame-diff at b5b486e scored 0.48 at 390. Phone now renders a 52px head (title + search icon), the filter under it, one merged 3-across grid of 115x104 tiles (channels, tools, add tile last) and one +N off. Measured at 390: head 52, filter y=64, tiles y=106.

The connectors page now uses a phone-specific layout at widths up to 640px. Search and filters move into the page body, channels and tools share one grid, and one toggle controls inactive entries.

Phone detection and controls frontend/src/v2/connectors/usePhone.ts, frontend/src/v2/connectors/ConnectorsPage.tsx, frontend/src/v2/connectors/connectors.css, frontend/src/v2/__tests__/v2-layout-invariants.test.ts
A media-query hook detects phone widths. The page adjusts its header, search, and filter placement. CSS and an invariant test specify the phone header height, body padding, and tile height.
Combined phone grid and inactive entries frontend/src/v2/connectors/ConnectorsPage.tsx, frontend/src/v2/__tests__/ConnectorsPage.layout.test.tsx
Phones display channels and tools in one grid. One toggle reveals inactive entries, including applicable orphan connections. Tests check tile ordering, search state, and the shared inactive toggle.
Team-Commonly/commonly#3143: Introduces the Connectors page structure that this change extends with phone-specific layout behavior.
Team-Commonly/commonly#3066: Introduces the connector tile grid and inactive-item folding behavior extended by the phone layout.
Team-Commonly/commonly#2437: Changes connector page-head and phone page-head behavior, related to the phone header changes here.
Merge Risk: Low · up to 1fafd
Phone behavior is mostly covered, but breakpoint focus and loading/scroll edge cases remain, along with a few test gaps. These are narrow risks suitable for follow-up before or alongside merge.

…arch button state and focus, rotation drops a stale reveal (TASK-733)

Own Opus review of the 390 follow-up (read-only, full page, CSS and hook). No blockers. Three should-fixes, all fixed at this head with tests: the "+N off" count ignored the filter; the search button's aria-expanded could disagree with the visible box and opening it did not focus the field; rotating across 640px left a stale reveal anchor (the reveal now closes on the change). Also done: addListener fallback in usePhone, exact tile-order test.
Checked clean: every wide-layout state still exists on phone (orphan grants, hidden connections behind the off toggle, nothing-matches, notices, add tile last); tile refs keep their keys so the revoke reveal still finds its anchor; all phone rules sit inside the 640px block, the 760px sheet and drawer rules are untouched, colours are tokens, no duplicate search box or filter bar at any width. Measured at 390 in a mocked-API run: head 390x52, filter y=64, tiles 115x104 from y=106, which are the frame's numbers. src/v2 + src/i18n: 2074 passing, tsc and eslint clean.
Open, noted not fixed: filter segments stay 28px (the frame's value; the search icon is 44x44), the head count is dropped on phone as in the frame.

Match the height property itself.

Match the height property itself.
This expression matches min-height: 52px, so it still passes if height changes to 76px or is removed. Match the property boundary to guard the fixed header height.
As per path instructions, “mutation checks should target changed lines” and distinguish the behavior.

Update the mediaBlock assertion in the v2 layout invariants test to match the
height property name at a property boundary, so it verifies the fixed header’s
height is 52px and cannot pass by matching min-height.

Count only inactive entries in the selected filter.
If the user selects Channels while only tools are inactive, the page still shows +N off, but expanding it reveals nothing. Apply showChannels and showTools to the count, including orphanHidden.

Assert channel and tool ordering.
arrayContaining accepts the same four names in any order. Swapping the channel and tool render blocks would still pass this test. Assert the first two names are channels and the next two are tools. (jestjs.io)

Keep search visibility and expanded state consistent.
If a query is nonempty, clicking Search sets aria-expanded to false but leaves the search box visible. The button then appears to do nothing. Make the button action and aria-expanded match the actual visibility.

Update the search-box visibility condition using `searchOpen`, `q`, and
`searchBox` so a nonempty query does not keep the box visible after the Search
button collapses it; keep the rendered visibility consistent with the button’s

Reveal the search input when search opens.
512-513: Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win
Reveal the search input when search opens.
On phones, .v2-cx-body scrolls independently. Opening search only changes searchOpen; it does not focus the input or scroll it into view. A user near the bottom of a long grid can therefore open Search while the input remains above the viewport. Focus the input or scroll it into view when it opens.

Restore focus to the replacement tile on breakpoint changes.

Restore focus to the replacement tile on breakpoint changes.
When phone changes, the old grid branch unmounts its tile while pop still keeps ConnectorPopover mounted. The popover then closes with anchor.focus(), but anchor is detached, so keyboard focus can be lost. Capture pop.key before clearing the reveal and focus tileRefs.current[key] after the replacement tile mounts. Add a test for this wide-to-phone transition.

The phone fixture in frontend/src/v2/__tests__/ConnectorsPage.layout.test.tsx provides only addEventListener and removeEventListener, so usePhone never takes its addListener/removeListener branches. Add a legacy-only test that emits a change, checks the layout update, unmounts, and asserts that removeListener receives the registered callback.
