feat(connectors): Linear says older connections reconnect to write - #3245
A Linear connection made before write access was added can't write until it's disconnected and connected again. The server refuses writes on it, and the Connectors page gave no hint. This carries #2641's notice onto the current page.
When Linear has a connection, a note says so and adds that each write asks for approval first:
If you connected Linear before it could write, disconnect it and connect it again to turn on writes. Each write asks for your approval first.
Where it shows, once each:
the granted drawer, above the grant list
the popover, for a connected Linear with no grant (that user opens a popover, not the drawer, right before choosing a write mode)
the drawer's ungranted offer, for a Linear whose grants have all ended
No other connector carries it, including another connected hosted connector. The page can't see a connection's scope, so the note is conditional and shows on every Linear connection. It reuses the page's .v2-cx-note with role="note", so there's no new CSS. No frame draws this copy.
zh-CN: 如果你是在支持写入之前连接的 Linear,需要先断开再重新连接,才能写入。每次写入都需要你批准。 It uses 你, and 断开 to match the Disconnect / 断开连接 control. It's a conditional clause, not a long modifier before the noun.
… write
Carries #2641's notice onto the current Connectors page. When Linear has
a connection, its drawer shows a note above the grant list: a connection
made before write access was added must be removed and connected again
before it can write, and every write asks first. It sits in Linear's
drawer only, granted or not.
zh-CN reworks #2641's string as a conditional clause rather than a long
modifier before the noun.

…Disconnect
Review fixes:
- A connected Linear with no grant opens a popover, not the drawer, so
that user never saw the note right before choosing a write mode. The
note now renders through renderEntryNote, which covers the popover and
the drawer's ungranted offer. The drawer adds it directly only when the
entry is granted, so it never shows twice.
- The control for a hosted connection is Disconnect / 断开连接, so the
copy says "disconnected" (断开) rather than "removed" (移除). The
subject in zh-CN is now 你, not "your Linear".

Walkthrough
The Connectors page now displays a localized notice explaining the reconnect requirement for older Linear connections and approval for each write. Tests cover its appearance in Linear views and absence from GitHub and Atlassian views.

useToolPanels provides the notice for Linear hosted-MCP entries with connections. The drawer renders it for granted tools, and the entry note includes it. English and Simplified Chinese copy describe reconnecting older connections and approving each write. Tests cover the copy and display conditions.
…gate
Review fixes:
- The English note says what to do in the active voice: "If you connected
Linear before it could write, disconnect it and connect it again to
turn on writes. Each write asks for your approval first."
- A connected Atlassian carries no note. GitHub alone failed the
hosted-mcp check first, so dropping the Linear check passed every test.
- renderEntryNote's comment is back above renderEntryNote, and the new
comment says what the server refuses (write mode without write scope).

Fresh-context review (Opus) at 0cb8059, then the fixes it led to. No defects found.
Verified: the note renders exactly once on each surface. renderEntryNote has two call sites, the popover and the ungranted offer. The direct call sits behind toolGranted, the exact opposite of the offer's gate, and openTool never shows one entry in both the popover and the drawer. The gate (hosted-mcp, entryId === 'linear', at least one connection) can't match GitHub. "Each write asks for your approval" is accurate, since #3235 pins every Linear writer to write-with-confirm. The zh-CN uses 你, half-width spaces, and the existing 断开 and 批准.
The negative test used GitHub, which fails the hosted-mcp check first, so dropping the Linear check passed every test. Added: a connected Atlassian carries no note. Reverse-verified: it fails with entryId === 'linear' removed.
The English is plainer and active: "If you connected Linear before it could write, disconnect it and connect it again to turn on writes. Each write asks for your approval first." zh-CN unchanged.
The renderEntryNote comment is back above renderEntryNote. The new comment says what the server refuses (write mode without write scope).
Left as is: the note shows on every Linear connection, because the page can't see a connection's scope. The conditional wording keeps that true.
Browser check at 0cb8059 against staging, mocked Linear with one connection: 1440 and 390, light and dark, en and zh-CN, granted drawer and ungranted popover. Exactly one note in every view, in the page's note colours. No horizontal scroll, no page errors. The copy change at the new head only changes text.

Explain that reconnecting requires new grants.
Disconnecting revokes the existing grants on the Linear connection. Reconnecting creates the connection again but does not restore those grants, so users must grant access again before agents can use it. Update both locale messages.

Review comment at @frontend/src/i18n/locales/en.json at line 2597:
Update the linearWriteReconnect message in both English and Chinese locale files
to explain that disconnecting revokes existing grants, reconnecting does not
restore them, and users must grant access again after reconnecting; retain the
existing write-approval notice.
The current assertions do not check that the notice applies only to Linear connections made before write access was added. A change that tells every Linear user to reconnect would still pass the drawer, popover, and ended-grant tests. Add the qualifier assertion in both languages.

Update the notice assertions in the test containing `note` to verify the
older-connection qualifier in both English and Chinese, alongside the existing
reconnect and approval assertions.
The GitHub case would still pass if entryId === 'linear' were removed because githubEntry is not hosted MCP. Add negative assertions for a connected non-Linear hosted-MCP entry and a disconnected Linear entry.

Update the “no other drawer carries it” test around mockTools, renderPage, and
openTool to cover both notice exclusions: assert that a connected non-Linear
hosted-MCP entry’s drawer has no notice, and that a disconnected Linear entry’s
popover has no notice.
