fix(connectors): the Tools trail names every refusal the broker records - #3304
When a refused call carried a code the Tools trail had no label for, the trail showed the code itself. On prod right now, a refused Sentry call reads · tool_drift in both en and zh-CN.
The broker records whatever code it throws as the line's reason (toolBrokerService.ts catch blocks at callTool and the approved-call path). Fourteen of those codes had no label:

en
zh-CN
tool_drift
the provider changed this tool since Commonly checked it

zh-CN follows the glossary: 智能体, 授权, Pod and PR stay as written, and 审批 matches the existing approval strings. tool_unavailable claims no vendor removal: a pinned tool missing from a connection's list can be that owner's own consent (hostedMcpEntryService.ts). A code that is still unknown keeps showing as itself (TASK-188's test is unchanged).
Proof:ConnectorsPage.tools.test.tsx gains an en and a zh-CN case that render all fourteen refusals through the real trail. Removing any one label turns both red (checked with tool_drift and task_closed). The suite passes 91/91.
Row: F18 (Connectors TASK-188 / #3170). I'll walk the live tool_drift row at en and zh-CN after the deploy.
A refused call recorded a code the trail had no words for, and showed the
code itself: a hosted tool whose schema drifted (`tool_drift`), one its
provider stopped offering (`tool_unavailable`), an approved call whose PR,
arguments, repository or tool changed after approval, and a task-bound
grant used off its task, unclaimed, or after the task closed. The live
trail on 11-02 shows a `tool_drift` refusal as the bare code in both
languages.
Fourteen labels, in en and zh-CN. A code that is still unknown keeps
showing as itself (TASK-188).

Walkthrough
The Tools trail now displays translated explanations for additional refusal codes. The change adds English and Simplified Chinese translations, maps the codes to those translations, and tests 15 refusal reasons in both locales.

The locale files add translations for additional refusal reasons. reasonLabel maps those codes to translated explanations and preserves the fallback for unmapped codes. Parameterized tests check 15 refusal reasons in English and Chinese.
The localized refusal labels and their coverage are aligned with the broker behavior, so no concrete merge-blocking risk remains.

Review: `tool_unavailable` means the pinned tool is absent from this
connection's tools/list, which can be the owner's own consent, so the label
no longer says the provider stopped offering it. `tool_not_found` says the
tool is not registered, as the broker does. zh-CN: `tool_drift` matches the
en meaning, a changed PR head need not be a new commit, and the
missing-identity line reads naturally.

One review round (D218), connector UI strings plus a zh-CN glossary check, done by a Sonnet subagent at 11a739d.
It held on one point: tool_unavailable claimed the provider stopped offering the tool. hostedMcpEntryService.ts says a pinned tool missing from a connection's list can be the owner's own consent, so the label now says only that the list lacks it. Fixed in 8a627dc using the reviewer's proposed text.
Nits taken in the same commit. tool_not_found now matches the broker's "not registered". In zh-CN, tool_drift matches the en meaning, merge_head_mismatch drops "new commit" (a force-push also moves the head), and the identity line was reworded.
Checked fine: all 14 keys are present once in each catalog, both JSON files parse, the hasOwnProperty fallback is unchanged, the other 12 codes match their throw sites, and the glossary is respected (智能体, Pod and PR with half-width spaces, 审批/授权/服务商 as in the neighbouring strings). The test renders through the real trail in both locales.
91/91, and removing the tool_drift label turns both locale cases red.

Test the remaining refusal mappings.
This test covers four of the fourteen added codes. Removing the task_closed mapping, for example, leaves this test passing while the trail displays the raw code. Add cases for the remaining mappings in both locales.
As per coding guidelines: “New code path ≠ test: flag it.” As per path instructions: “A test that would still pass with the fix reverted is not a test.”

Extend the refusal-mapping test around the calls array to cover all fourteen
refusal codes, including the ten not currently listed, and assert each displays
its expected localized label in both locales. Ensure the assertions would fail
if any individual mapping, such as task_closed, were removed.

Describe mismatches against the approval request.
The broker creates the approval snapshot before the approval request is stored. The tool definition, repository, and pull-request head are compared with current values when the approved call executes. These values can change while approval is pending or after approval, so “after approval” is misleading.
args_digest_mismatch is different. The approved path hashes the parked canonicalArgs and compares it with the parked digest. It detects an integrity mismatch, not arguments changing after approval. Update all three label sources to describe the request snapshot and argument mismatch accurately.

When a task closes, grantEpoch changes. After reopening, the task status can be open, but assertBoundTaskOpen still rejects an older grant with task_closed. A failed close-time revocation leaves that grant available for this path. The mint race is separately fenced by the post-insert epoch check.
Update the English, Chinese, and fallback labels:

CodeRabbit at 8a627dc: the broker snapshots the tool, repository and PR
head when approval is requested, not when it is given, and
`args_digest_mismatch` is the parked arguments failing their own digest.
The four labels now say "after approval was asked for" and "no longer
match the ones sent for approval", in en and zh-CN.
The F18 test lists all fourteen codes with their en and zh-CN strings, so
dropping any one label turns it red (checked with `task_closed`).

On CodeRabbit's two points at 8a627dc, both taken in the commit after it:
Approval timing. The broker snapshots the tool, repository and PR head when approval is requested, so those three labels now say "after approval was asked for". args_digest_mismatch now reads "the arguments no longer match the ones sent for approval", which describes the integrity check it is. Same change in zh-CN (申请审批后 / 与提交审批时的不一致) and in the map defaults.
Coverage. The F18 test now lists all fourteen codes with their en and zh-CN strings. Dropping task_closed turns both locale cases red, and the suite passes 91/91.

Update the taskclosed labels to cover prior closure.

Update the task_closed labels to cover prior closure.
The broker uses task_closed both when the task is currently done and when the task closed after the grant was issued. An old grant can therefore produce this code after the task is reopened. Update the English and zh-CN labels, and keep the fallback text consistent.

… issued
The broker raises task_closed for a task that is done now and for one whose
grant epoch moved, i.e. closed and reopened since the grant was issued.
"The bound task is closed" was wrong for the second. A grant can only be
issued while its task is open, so "closed after this grant was issued"
covers both.

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_015AKgpQ2pr6xRMhN5mcfoHF
On CodeRabbit's body point at 0a9debf (task_closed covers prior closure): it is correct, and the fix is at 6b9ef82.
roomGrantService.ts raises task_closed in two places:
loadOpenBoundTask, when the task is done now;
assertBoundTaskOpen, when the task's grantEpoch has moved since the grant was issued. That means the task closed and was reopened, so "the bound task is closed" was wrong for this case.
A grant can only be issued while its task is open, because loadOpenBoundTask refuses a done task at issue. So one sentence covers both cases: "the bound task closed after this grant was issued" (zh-CN 绑定的任务在授权签发后关闭过). The en and zh-CN strings, the fallback in useToolConnectors.ts, and the test's literal all changed together. The suite is 91/91.
