fix(activity): Moved forward reads a post as one plain line, and the prod check measures Activity at its frame - #3381
The d215 prod check for activity-busy missed by a wide margin on prod. At 1440 it counted 1347 helper words against a target of 94, and scroll was 29.9× against 1×. There were two causes: one in the scorer and one on the page.
The scorer measured the account's whole history (docs/design/artboards/d215/cap/measure_after.js)
Needs you pages itself through every open item: 429 on the test account, where the frame draws 4.
The Artifacts guard from feat(artifacts): Artifacts rebuilt to its approved d215 frames #3376 is now a per-surface BUSY table. For each listed surface the check refuses the error line and the spinner, refuses a list shorter than the frame, and then measures only the frame's row count:
Activity: 4 Needs you rows and 5 Moved forward lines.
Artifacts: 6 file rows.
The table is keyed by surface name, so the prod surface list can't drop it. The test pins every selector and checks that each one is a real class in the page source.
The README says how the check works.
The page drew whole agent posts in Moved forward (V2ActivityPage.tsx / .css)
At 390 each line ran five rows and showed raw ** and backticks. The frame draws one sentence per line. Each line now:
reads the post as plain text: link text kept, emphasis, code marks and headings dropped, the leading bullet dropped. snake_case, __init__.py, jira_* and 中_文 come through unchanged;
ends a post the recap clipped at 180 characters with "…", and drops a mark, link or emoji half the clip left behind;
keeps the code's words when the post was nothing but code;
stops at two rows, with the whole line in its title.
Agent posts arrive with their whitespace already folded by the recap, so a list inside one reads "Done: a - b - c".
After the fix, measured against prod data (own-origin vite, read-only)

The Artifacts miss is in the data: the authors' names have two words. That's left as it is.
What changes from main: a long Moved forward line used to show the whole 180-character excerpt. It now stops at two rows. The full text stays in the title and in the DOM for screen readers.

…prod check measures Activity at its frame
The d215 prod check for activity-busy missed by a wide margin on prod
(1347 helper words against a target of 94, and scroll 29.9× against 1×).
Two causes.
The scorer measured the whole history. Needs you pages itself through
every open item, which is 429 on lily-shen, and the frame draws 4. The
Artifacts guard from #3376 is now a per-surface table, BUSY. For Activity
it refuses the error line and the spinner, refuses a list shorter than
the frame, and then measures 4 Needs you rows and 5 Moved forward lines.
The table is keyed by surface name, so the prod surface list can't drop
it.
The page drew whole agent posts in Moved forward: at 390 a line ran five
rows, with raw ** and backticks. The frame draws one sentence. Each line
now:
- reads the post as plain text: link text kept, markdown marks and list
bullets dropped (snake_case survives);
- marks a post the recap clipped at 180 characters with an ellipsis, and
drops any mark the clip left unpaired;
- stops at two rows (line clamp).
After the fix, measured against prod data (own-origin vite, read-only):
activity-busy HITs at 1440 (32/94, scroll 1) and at 390 (28/84, scroll
1.23/1.31). Page overflow is 0 in light and dark at both widths.
artifacts-busy-390 is one helper word over its target (35/34) because the
data has two-word author names. That's left as it is.
Follow-up from the review round, folded in:
From the review of the previous commit:
- The two-row clamp hides the end of a long line, so the line carries the
full author and text as its title.
- Agent posts arrive with their whitespace already folded. Mid-line
headings are dropped, a list reads "Done: a - b - c", and a test now
uses that folded shape.
- A post that is only a code fence keeps the code's words, not an empty
line. A link the 180-character clip cut keeps its text. A clip that
splits an emoji drops the lone half before the ellipsis.
- Emphasis underscores are matched against any letter (\p{L}), so 中_文
survives, and __init__.py stays a file name.
- The scorer test pins each BUSY selector and checks it is a real class
in the page source. A mistyped refusal selector now fails it.

Review round (D218) at c6423b7, covering code, design, layout and zh-CN. An Opus reviewer read the first commit before the squash and found nothing blocking. This head folds in its fixes: the title, the folded-post shape, code-only posts, a clip that cuts a link or an emoji, CJK and dunder underscores, and pinned selectors.
Scorer honesty
The trim only normalises the row count. The rows it keeps are measured at their real heights, so a taller row still raises innerRatio, and the 1440 target is 1/1.
The selectors match the TSX: .v2-activity__queue is the direct parent of the queue rows, and the Get started rows sit outside it.
BUSY is a module const read at run time. No opt.busy is left.
The trim hides that prod renders 429 open rows. The README names this, and it's a separate product question.
plainLine on prod-shaped text
jira_* globs, 2 * 3, snake_case, __init__.py, CJK with **…**, emoji, _(bar) URLs and rate: -5% all come through unchanged.
Known edges, each the same as how markdown would render them:
2*3*4 loses its asterisks.
score: - 3 pts drops the spaced minus.
A post of exactly 180 characters gets a false "…".
What changes from main: a long Moved forward line stops at two rows. The whole line stays in the title, for screen readers too. This matches the frame's one sentence per line.
zh-CN: no locale changes. The zh capture at 390 renders correctly.
Tests
jest src/v2 src/i18n 2703, tsc 0 under src/, scorer 17/17.
Mutations, each killed:
colon-bullet
stray-mark
clamp
queue selector
keep
moved trim
mistyped refuse selector
raw content
ellipsis
Layout browser check: own-origin vite against prod, read-only, headless. /v2/activity was captured at 1440 and 390 in light and dark, and at 390 in zh-CN.
Moved forward: 5 lines, each at most 2 rows, with no raw markdown and no overflow.
measure_after.js prod --only activity-busy: 1440 HIT (32/94, scroll 1/1), 390 HIT (28/84, scroll 1.23/1.31).
The production measurement checks now apply busy-state rejection and row trimming to Activity and Artifacts. Activity update and board-note text is normalized into plain-text lines. Moved-forward text is clamped to two lines and retains its full text in a title.

plainLine removes markdown formatting and folds whitespace for agent updates and board notes. It handles clipped input by appending an ellipsis. Moved-forward text is clamped to two lines and its title contains the author and full text. Tests cover normalization, rendering, and the CSS clamp.
Activity "Moved forward" lines can lose text that follows a code block, or show an empty line for code-only posts. The production check's source test also would not notice a renamed queue-row class. Neither affects data or security, so this is mergeable, but the fence handling is worth fixing soon.

Anchor the queue-row source check to the loaded row.
The check at line 257 passes when any className="..." attribute in V2ActivityPage.tsx contains v2-activity__queue-row. The Get Started placeholder (V2ActivityPage.tsx:1422, :1443) has that static class, so the check passes there. The loaded queue row (V2ActivityPage.tsx:1495) sets the class inside a template literal, which this pattern cannot match.
If the loaded row loses v2-activity__queue-row, the assertion still passes because of the placeholder. The scorer selector .v2-activity__queue > .v2-activity__queue-row would then match zero loaded rows. The fakeBusy helper supplies row counts directly and does not query rendered markup, so no test in this block detects the mismatch.
Assert against the loaded row element instead. For example, match the data-activity-item-id article whose template-literal className starts with v2-activity__queue-row. Then confirm that renaming that class in the loaded row fails the test.

The cited test supplies an empty board. The shared board fixture uses plain text, so it does not distinguish normalized output from raw Markdown. Add a Markdown board note to a V2ActivityPage fixture and assert its normalized text and full normalized title.

Provide a way to reveal clamped text.
The clamp hides part of long excerpts. The title on the non-focusable span does not give touch or keyboard users a way to reveal it. Add an expandable control or another accessible way to read the full excerpt.
Based on learnings: title provides a native mouse-hover tooltip.

@coderabbitai Valid. The prefixed clamp needs -webkit-box-orient: vertical, and the guard didn't pin it. This PR is already in the merge queue and can't take a push, so the assertion lands in a follow-up PR. I'll link it here.

Preserve text after folded code fences.
The recap folds agent-post newlines before plainLine receives them. For Before ```js code ``` after, [^\n]* consumes the closing fence and after, so the line becomes Before. A code-only folded post becomes empty. Preserve fence boundaries in the recap or handle the folded shape without consuming the remaining text. Add tests using folded agent posts.

@coderabbitai Valid. On a folded agent post (no newlines), the fence's info-string match [^\n]* runs to the end of the text, so Before ```js code ``` after becomes Before. The fix limits the info string to [\w+-]* and adds tests in the folded shape. This PR is in the merge queue, so it lands in a follow-up PR. I'll link it here.
…ep their text, and the clamp guard pins its orient (Team-Commonly#3382)
* fix(v2): CodeRabbit's last points on Team-Commonly#3373 and Team-Commonly#3381: the bar key's hit area, folded code fences, the clamp's box orient
Team-Commonly#3373 and Team-Commonly#3381 were already in the merge queue when CodeRabbit raised
these, so they land here.
- Agent profile public bar: Team-Commonly#3373 drew the Sign up key at 28, and its
phone hit area still reached 5px each way, 38 in all. It now reaches 8
(28 + 16 = 44). A guard computes the reach from the last inset.
- Activity plainLine: an agent post arrives with its newlines folded, so
the fence's info-string match ran to the end of the text, and
`Before ```js code ``` after` read "Before". The info string is now a
bare word, and tests in the folded shape cover it.
- The two-row clamp's guard pins `-webkit-box-orient: vertical`, which
the prefixed clamp needs.
- Connect: the translated intro is asserted on the rendered zh-CN page,
not only in source.

* fix(v2): the bar key's overlay measures from inside its border, so it reaches 9px to make 44
From the review of Team-Commonly#3382: the key is drawn at 28 with a 1px border, and an
absolute ::before measures from the padding box (26). So -8px gave 42 in
Chromium, and the old -5px gave 36, not 38. It now reaches 9px each way:
26 + 18 = 44. Measured at 390 in light and dark, the hit area is 44.5
tall and both ±21 points land on Sign up. The guard now subtracts the
border, and it fails at -8.
