What changed

• Restored the browser interface required by the Python and Node servers and desktop builder.
• Set the package to 2.0.0-beta.1 and updated the README and release notes.
• Added an isolated integration smoke test and GitHub Actions verification.

Verification

• Python integration smoke test passed locally and in GitHub Actions.
• Browser JavaScript syntax check passed locally and in GitHub Actions.
• Windows COMA.exe built with PyInstaller 6.22.3 and passed its bundled startup self-test.
• Beta source tag: 2.0-beta.1. macOS DMG remains untested.

The existing 1.0 tag omitted public/ and tests; this PR repairs those missing distribution files.
