Evaluate Mars macOS release artifact support #5

Description

@luccahuguet

Mars inherits Rio's macOS release context, but Mars does not yet have a validated macOS release/support story. This should be decided separately from Linux packaging and without blocking current Yazelix/Linux dogfooding.

Internal tracking: split from Bead yzt-clean-rio-rebuild-0kz.15.5.

Scope:

  • Inspect inherited Rio macOS DMG/app bundle release surfaces.
  • Decide whether Mars should maintain, defer, or reject macOS release artifacts.
  • Identify required Mars identity changes: app name, bundle id, icon, metadata, signing, notarization, and release ownership.
  • Define expected smoke tests before any macOS artifact is public.

Acceptance:

  • macOS artifact status is accepted, deferred, or rejected with concrete reasoning.
  • Follow-up implementation, if any, names exact release tooling, identity changes, signing/notarization requirements, and smoke tests.
  • Mars docs avoid claiming macOS package support until validated.
