Why
SQLite's
unicode61tokenizer treats an unsegmented CJK character run as one token. As aresult, common terms and phrases inside a longer run cannot be found with full-text search.
The same limitation affects other writing systems that commonly omit spaces between words.
This change adds a portable search representation for unsegmented scripts that works in both
SQLite and PostgreSQL-backed Cloud projects while preserving the existing word-oriented FTS
path.
Closes #1294.
What Changed
Hangul, Bopomofo, Thai, Lao, Tibetan, Myanmar, and Khmer text.
PostgreSQL.
phrases, preserving the current parser for explicit Boolean expressions.
No new user configuration is required. Existing word-based full-text search remains available
immediately after migration; existing rows gain script substring recall after reindexing.
Implementation Details

bm reindex --full --search; Cloud should run the managed fleet FTS reindexafter tenant migrations complete. Old binaries remain compatible with the additive schema.
