Summary

Linux users can install BrightSync and update it later by rerunning the same hosted Bash command.

install.sh
  detect CPU and libc
  download the latest matching Linux archive
  run the archive's installer with the supplied options

Publish BrightSync-install.sh alongside the existing release assets and include it in the checksum manifest. Document per-user installation, system installation, updates, and monitor access setup.

Evidence

• Before: Linux installation required selecting and downloading a release package or extracting an archive manually.
  After: The documented command selects and downloads the archive automatically; rerunning it installs the latest release.
• bash -n install.sh and git diff --check pass. Live installation and the Linux VM suite were not run.
• The hosted URL targets the repository's default branch, master; it becomes available after merge.

How to try them

• Windows: BrightSync-package-win-<arch> holds the setup installer and a portable zip. Builds are unsigned, so SmartScreen may warn.
• Linux: BrightSync-package-linux-<arch> holds a .deb, .rpm, Arch package, AppImage and portable .tar.gz; linux-musl-* is for Alpine; linux-portable needs a .NET 10 runtime. See the Linux guide.
• Pre-release builds report a -pr<number>.<run> version and do not self-update.
