Use this guide to verify downloads, protect your account information and report security concerns. Both current editions are v1.1.2. Include the affected edition, version, operating system and architecture in a report, plus the system webview version for Tauri when relevant.
Keep your application profile, cookies, credentials, downloaded media and account screenshots private. Remove personal paths and account details from diagnostic attachments. YouTube and protection/download services receive the requests needed for the features you use.
If GitHub offers Report a vulnerability on the repository's Security page, use that private reporting option. If it is unavailable, contact the maintainer to arrange a private channel before sending sensitive details. A public issue may request a private channel, but must omit exploit details, credentials and account data. Include reproduction steps and the observed impact in the private report.
Download packages from the official GitHub Releases page and verify the matching SHA-256 checksum. Current packages do not include publisher signing or macOS notarization. Checksums establish file integrity against the published manifest; they do not certify runtime behavior or remove operating-system warnings.
Tauri session repair clears selected YouTube cookies after confirmation. It can reset sign-in or site preferences. Keep your operating system and webview current.
