Code Mode moves out of Tools. A new concept page,
/agents/concepts/code-mode/, explains why we let models write code. A new Runtime section,/agents/runtime/code-mode/, lists the ways to run that code. The ninetools/codemode/*guides and the Code Mode MCP server guide are removed, with redirects.flowchart LR Model["Model writes code"] -->|"exec"| Computer["@cloudflare/computer<br/>Workspace, codemode:* modules"] Computer --> Exec["@cloudflare/codemode<br/>WorkerJavaScriptBackend"] Exec --> DW["Dynamic Worker"]@cloudflare/codemodenow holds only the executor, and the old API is frozen (cloudflare/agents#2609). Computer runs code on that executor, and tools reach the code ascodemode:*modules (cloudflare/computer#283). The docs now follow that split:search/execute, linking tocloudflare/mcpand thecodemode-mcp-openapiexample.skills/execution), and a legacy page that maps each frozen export to its replacement.ws:becomescodemode:in the Computer and Think pages. The human-in-the-loop Code Mode section now usesctx.interrupt()in place of the legacy durable runtime. Links in Sandbox, Dynamic Workers, Worker Loader, MCP portals and AI Search now point to the new pages.Merge this after cloudflare/agents#2609 and cloudflare/computer#283 are released. The legacy page links to
docs/codemode/legacy*.md, which only exist once #2609 lands.astro buildpasses,bin/validate-redirects.tspasses, and every internal link and anchor in the changed files resolves indist.
