Run the role rename from a different superuser
For bundled installations initialized with POSTGRES_USER=mileage, mileage is the PostgreSQL bootstrap superuser and normally the only administrative role, so following this guide means the session user is also mileage; PostgreSQL refuses to rename the current session user, causing this command to fail and leaving the new triptracker connection settings unusable. The upgrade sequence needs to create and reconnect through a temporary superuser before this statement, or retain the existing role name in DATABASE_URL.
