A mediocre backup program for thumb drives. Requires Python 3+, created using Python 3.12.

To install, extract the zip file from the Releases page and stick the files on your external drive of choice. Windows devices will need the .bat files, other operating systems shouldn't. Hasn't been tested.

To setup, run setup.bat/setup.py and follow the instructions to select two directories and create a transfer rule. This will create devices.json in the directory of the drive, if not already present. Can be run more than once, rules are per-device.

To run, simply run run.bat/EasyBackup.py and wait. How long this takes depends on the size of the transfer and speed of the drive.

Known bugs/limitations:

• Will never delete files
• No current way to edit devices.json without doing it manually
• Will occasionally copy files backwards after the initial sync to the external drive
