CTO | Architect & Team Builder | Engineering Manager | Seasoned Backend (Rust, Java, Python) Engineer
Working at Koinly — reconstructing complex crypto history across chains, exchanges, and DeFi protocols, and turning fragmented activity into clear, consistent, and reliable data.
I split my time between Poland 🇵🇱 and Indonesia 🇮🇩
-
🚀 Currently at Koinly, solving complex engineering problems around crypto history and turning fragmented data into something understandable, consistent, and reliable:
- Architecture & Engineering: Designing and evolving systems for ingesting, reconstructing, and processing crypto activity at scale
- Crypto Data & Protocols: Deep work across blockchains, exchanges, DEXs, DeFi protocols, staking, and other crypto ecosystems
- Multi-chain Systems: Building scalable approaches for EVM, Solana, and other chains, across RPCs, indexers, and data providers
- Protocol Reconstruction: Turning transactions, events, transfers, and protocol-specific behavior into a consistent representation of what actually happened
- Engineering Leadership: Setting technical direction, reviewing architecture and code, improving engineering quality, and building strong engineering teams
- Agentic Development & AI: Integrating AI agents into real-world engineering workflows — from research and implementation to testing and code review — with strong emphasis on verification, human oversight, and engineering quality
-
🧭 My broader experience spans:
- Software & Solution Architecture — distributed systems, backend platforms, cloud infrastructure, integrations, identity, and security
- Blockchain Engineering — Layer 1 architecture, consensus, P2P networking, governance, Substrate, Rust, post-quantum cryptography, and ZK
- Crypto & DeFi — DEXs, smart contracts, algorithmic trading, market-making, liquidity, and multi-chain data
- Infrastructure & DevOps — cloud platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, infrastructure automation, and NoOps
- Technology Leadership — technical strategy, engineering teams, hiring, mentoring, and taking products from idea to production
I have 20 years of experience in IT projects, but the technologies and skills listed are limited to those I’ve "worked with" in the past six years.
"worked with" - I have at least tried it locally in a non-trivial business case, but in most cases I did way more.
Testing, Correctness & Reliability:

I use Rust for production backend systems, large-scale crypto data processing, blockchain and protocol integrations, Layer 1 infrastructure, P2P networking and consensus, Solana and EVM ecosystems, trading systems, and developer tooling.
Currently, I'm building a large-scale Rust backend for aggregating, reconstructing, and reconciling tax-relevant facts across the top 100 DeFi protocols — turning fragmented on-chain activity from multiple chains, protocols, and data providers into a consistent and verifiable representation of what actually happened.
In the past 5 years, I have used Java to build highly scalable, stateless solutions in microservices and hexagonal architecture, most often utilizing Kafka and deploying to AWS.
In the past 5 years, I have primarily used Python for crypto trading-related tasks.
Post-Quantum Cryptography:

Working on quantum-secure blockchain infrastructure with NIST-approved post-quantum signatures and zero-knowledge proof systems (Plonky2, Poseidon) for scalability.

Microservices, Hexagonal Architecture, Serverless CQRS, ES, WEB3.0, DDD, TDD, Code Review, SOLID, Clean Code, XP.
Blockchain & Infrastructure:
- Layer 1 blockchain development with Substrate
- Custom Substrate pallets development (governance, treasury, mining, reversible-transfers)
- P2P networking architecture with libp2p
- Consensus mechanisms (PoW/QPoW) and mining infrastructure
- CLI development and developer tooling
- Infrastructure automation (Docker, Prometheus, Grafana)
- WebAssembly runtime development - all amazing substrate problems with no_std, compatibility, unstable fixes and so on.
Development on Steroids: Daily driver: IntelliJ & Cursor. I'm all about that sweet spot between letting AI do the heavy lifting and keeping the architecture clean. Not just vibe coding – it's about smart automation that actually makes sense and doesn't turn your codebase into spaghetti.
🏆🏆🏆 I hold over 50 professional certifications in the areas of programming, architecture, and project management.
