Quite a few times I have found myself in the situation where I saved a draft and discovered that there was another draft, which was a stale version of an already published article.
Deleting the draft shows the directory from which it would be deleted, and that's the location of the published article.
So fix the issue manually:
- Delete the unwanted draft from the draft folder using an FTP program.
- Delete blog/cache/index/index-draft.txt (or index-drafts.txt).
I don't understand how I got into this situation, but it happened a few times. The first time, the cleanup attempt actually deleted the real article.
