Development
Devir Bordado is currently under development. This repository serves as the starting point for documenting ideas, design decisions, content organization and future improvements for the project's digital presence.
Devir Bordado aims to become a digital space dedicated to the exploration of embroidery as a form of artistic expression, research and knowledge production.
The long-term vision is to create an environment that brings together essays, research projects, visual documentation, references and creative practices, connecting textile work with memory, symbolism, nature and human experience.
The name Devir Bordado combines two concepts related to transformation and textile practice.
Devir comes from the philosophical concept of becoming, referring to processes of change, movement and continuous transformation. It reflects the idea that embroidery is not only a finished object, but also a process of creation, learning and becoming.
Bordado refers to the traditional practice of embroidery, a technique based on threads, gestures and time. It connects the project to textile traditions, craftsmanship and the preservation of stories through material practices.
Together, the name expresses the idea of embroidery as a process of becoming, where threads, memories and meanings are continuously woven.
