Looks like the package has been off CRAN since 2023-08-10 as issues were not corrected in time.

In addititon to the above, I am not able to compile the github version using C++ compiler: ‘g++ (Ubuntu 9.4.0-1ubuntu1~20.04.2) 9.4.0’
using C++11
