Name trigger kind 30 Aggregate, as the Windows SDK does - #99
A trigger of kind 30 - one of 252 on the machine this was measured on, the one CDPSvc carries - was shown as Unknown, because the interop metadata the program reads has no name for it and sc qtriggerinfo prints no kind for it either. winsvc.h in the Windows SDK names it SERVICE_TRIGGER_TYPE_AGGREGATE, so it is now Aggregate:
bws show CDPSvc prints Aggregate/Start a086ff1e-d6dc-45f7-b3e4-6cd5c9fdd6d7 instead of Unknown/Start ...
the window's Triggers column and details panel say Aggregate
snapshots and --json hold "kind": "Aggregate"
trigger:aggregate asks for it, and trigger:unknown no longer finds it
Contract
kind gets a new value inside snapshot schema 7. Schema 7 is still under [Unreleased], so there is no schema bump. A comparison with a file older than schema 7 already narrows triggers to kind and action, and now also folds Aggregate back to the Unknown such a file holds - a snapshot taken by 0.4.0 compared with an unchanged machine still says "No differences." Two schema 7 files compare the kind as written.
Checked
Narrow tests: core 466 (triggers, snapshots, queries), terminal 103, window 120, architecture 5 - all green. New: TriggerKindTests (kinds 7 and 30, and numbers no header names stay Unknown), two comparison tests, a query test, and a guard in each interface that every kind the core names has a word of its own.
Six new mutation entries, all caught - including kind 7, which had no test of its own.
On a real machine: a snapshot written by a build of the v0.4.0 tag compared with the live machine gives "No differences." A schema 7 file from before this change shows the one CDPSvc line, as intended.
sc qtriggerinfo beside the program: the same on 260 triggers, with CDPSvc counted as not compared, since sc names no kind there.
A trigger of kind 30 was held as Unknown because the interop metadata has
no name for it, and sc qtriggerinfo prints no kind for it either. winsvc.h
in the Windows SDK names it SERVICE_TRIGGER_TYPE_AGGREGATE, so it is now
TriggerKind.Aggregate - in bws show, the window, snapshots and --json, and
trigger:aggregate asks for it in the query language.
Snapshot schema 7 is not released yet, so the new value goes into it
without a schema bump. A comparison with a file older than schema 7
already narrows triggers to kind and action, and now also folds Aggregate
back to the Unknown such a file holds, so a snapshot taken by 0.4.0 shows
no change on a machine where nothing changed.
Kind 7 had no test of its own either. Both mappings, the fold, the query
word and a word for every named kind in both interfaces now have tests and
mutation entries.

Walkthrough
The change adds TriggerKind.Aggregate for service trigger type 30, exposes it through trigger queries and CLI/GUI labels, and normalizes it to Unknown when comparing against snapshots older than schema seven. Tests cover mappings, labels, query matching, and cross-schema comparisons.
Maps Aggregate to Unknown when comparing against snapshots older than schema seven. Tests cover cross-schema normalization and distinct kinds in schema-seven comparisons.
Adds the Aggregate label to the CLI and GUI. Tests check that named trigger kinds do not use the unknown label. The changelog documents the label, query, and snapshot comparison behavior.
Aggregate triggers get their own name in the CLI, window, snapshots and JSON, and comparisons with older snapshots stay quiet. The remaining concern is that two label tests are loose; this does not block merging.

Full details: Title check
Explanation
The title "Name trigger kind 30 Aggregate, as the Windows SDK does" matches the main change. The PR adds TriggerKind.Aggregate for numeric service trigger type 30, maps it in ManagerTerms, and wires it through the CLI, GUI, query values, and snapshot diff handling. The title is specific, plain-language, and under the length limit. It does not name the user-visible effect (the label and the trigger:aggregate query), but it still describes the core change accurately.
Full details: Tests For Changed Behavior
Explanation
PASS. The PR adds tests for each changed runtime behavior: type 30 maps to TriggerKind.Aggregate and unknown numbers remain unknown (TriggerKindTests); trigger:aggregate matches while trigger:unknown does not (TriggerQueryTests); schema-6 comparison folds Aggregate to Unknown, while schema-7 comparison distinguishes them (TriggerChangeTests). New CLI and GUI tests verify every named trigger kind has a non-unknown label. The test diff contains additions only; no tests were deleted, skipped, or weakened.
Full details: No Secrets Or Debug Leftovers
Explanation
The pull-request diff adds no CLAUDE.md, AGENTS.md, .claude/, or .env files. Added lines contain no credentials, tokens, private URLs, local absolute paths, IP addresses, personal email addresses, or debug output/calls. CDPSvc and the GUID are test/domain data, not machine credentials or user-identifying data.
Full details: No Hardcoded Ui Styling
Explanation
PASS. The PR changes GUI-facing text only: one resource label and one TriggerKind.Aggregate text mapping in src/Bws.Gui/ViewModels/CellFaces.cs. It adds no colors, fonts, sizes, margins, paddings, corner radii, or copied controls.
Full details: No Obvious Performance Problems
Explanation
No clear performance problem is introduced. The product changes add enum-switch mappings and one static query value. Snapshot compatibility adds a constant-time kind check per trigger within the existing linear KindsAndActions pass; it adds no nested collection search, I/O, external process, timer, or UI collection update. Trigger enumeration still performs one mapping per already-read record, and the GUI change only selects a label.
Full details: Desktop Robustness
Explanation
PASS. The PR only adds trigger-kind mapping, labels, query vocabulary, and snapshot comparison normalization. The changed code does not load working-directory assets, write files, start background or network work, request admin rights, add destructive actions, or parse/save numbers or dates with the current culture. The new snapshot helper preserves null and non-string values and does not add a corruption crash path.
Full details: Safe File Parsing
Explanation
No unsafe file parsing was introduced. The PR adds trusted translation entries and changes an existing JsonNode comparison transform: JsonValue.TryGetValue<string> and DeepClone only copy or rename the kind value. It does not add file paths, external entity handling, arbitrary-type deserialization, formula output, or archive processing. Existing snapshot size and JSON validation remain unchanged.
Full details: System Changes Are Reversible
Explanation
The PR does not modify system state. Its code only maps Windows trigger type 30 to TriggerKind.Aggregate, adds labels and query parsing, and normalizes snapshot comparison. The diff adds no calls that change services, registry, firewall, drivers, process state, time, proxy, or network rules. Reversibility requirements are therefore not applicable.
Full details: Clear User-Facing Text
Explanation
The PR adds the user-facing label “Aggregate” consistently in the CLI and GUI resources and maps the same TriggerKind.Aggregate to both labels. The query spelling is the matching lowercase aggregate, and the changelog uses the same term. No non-obvious control, icon-only button, vague action label, error, or confirmation text was added or changed.
Full details: No Resource Leaks
Explanation
PASS. The production diff only adds the Aggregate enum value, numeric/query mappings, display labels, and snapshot JSON normalization. It adds no event subscriptions, timers, handles, files, streams, processes, tasks, queues, caches, or image storage. No resource requires release.
Full details: Scope, Duplication And Docs
Explanation
The pull request is scoped to naming trigger kind 30 as Aggregate. The title and description cover the manager mapping, CLI and GUI labels, query behavior, snapshot representation, and compatibility behavior. CHANGELOG.md documents the user-visible changes. The diff adds the value through existing enum, switch, query, localization, and snapshot-diff layers, with no unrelated refactor or duplicate component. The persisted snapshot change has an explicit fallback that folds Aggregate to Unknown when compared with older snapshots.

Learning: Tests for changed behavior: Warn if the PR changes or adds non-UI runtime behavior (not only docs, CI, config, assets,
pure UI layout or refactor without behavior change) and does not add or update tests
covering that behavior. Also warn if existing tests were deleted, skipped or had
assertions weakened without an explicit justification in the PR description.
The guards on the words for trigger kinds asked only that a named kind
does not read as the word for an unknown one, so Aggregate pointed at the
word for Custom would have passed in both interfaces.
Each interface now has a table of every kind and the exact key it reads
as, and the general guard also asks that no two named kinds share a word,
so a kind added to the core later and missing from the table is still
held. Two mutation entries point Aggregate at Custom's word and are both
caught.
