Review comments at @app/lib/src/maestro/maestro_runner.dart:
- Around line 166-167: Update MaestroRunner.run to throw StateError when
_process is non-null before starting another process, preserving the existing
process and preventing concurrent Maestro runs.
- Around line 196-206: In the Maestro process handling flow, wait for both
stdout and stderr subscriptions to finish before reading the exit code; do not
cancel them immediately after proc.exitCode completes. Update the stream
handling around outSub and errSub so trailing shard and summary lines reach
handle before result evaluation.
Review comments at @app/lib/src/mcp/tools/maestro_tools.dart:
- Around line 63-80: Add a shared lookup on MaestroRunResult that matches a
shard by device ID first, then by its shard number using index + 1. Replace
positional result.shards[i] access in app/lib/src/mcp/tools/maestro_tools.dart
at lines 63-80 and app/lib/src/ui/scenarios/scenarios_panel.dart at lines 97-112
with this lookup, preserving each caller’s existing handling when no shard
matches.
Review comments at @packages/simutil/CHANGELOG.md:
- Around line 18-20: Move the Maestro scenario release-note entry from the
`packages/simutil` changelog to the `app/CHANGELOG.md` `0.2.0` section under
“Changed,” preserving its wording; remove the entry from the simutil changelog.

Hi a @hoangchungk53qx1, thank you for your contribution, I'm thinking of switching the feature scenarios over to Maestro to make things easier—thanks for integrating it. Could you help me record a demo? Also, is it possible to test it with MCP? |

Review comments at @app/lib/src/maestro/maestro_runner.dart:
- Around line 167-170: Update MaestroRunner.run to claim the run slot before its
first await, using a busy flag to reject overlapping runs, and release it in
finally on every exit path. Track the process owned by that run and clear
_process only when it still refers to that process; keep stop() from clearing
the busy flag, and have running report the busy state.
Review comments at @app/lib/src/mcp/tools/maestro_tools.dart:
- Around line 101-105: Update the stop handler to capture `c.maestro.running`
before calling `c.maestro.stop()`, then report “Stopped” if the Maestro process
was running or `c.runs?.stopAll()` returned any IDs; otherwise report “Nothing
running”.
Review comments at @app/README.md:
- Line 43: Update the scenario documentation below the tool table to match
run_maestro: replace the JSON steps example and references to the slim option
and step-based timing fields with a short Maestro YAML flow and a sample
run_maestro call. Update or remove the run_scenario references in the Benchmark
section so it describes the current tool.

🩺 Stability & Availability | 🟠 Major | 🏗️ Heavy liftCancel a run before the Maestro process starts.
If the user presses Stop while
MaestroRunner.runawaits its CLI availability check,_maestro.stop()has no process to kill. The panel records a stop request, but the runner does not consume it and starts the flow afterward. Make the pending start cancellable, and check cancellation beforeProcess.start.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟠 Major | 🏗️ Heavy liftPreserve the opened flow’s relative dependencies.
When a user opens a flow containing
runFlow: common/login.yamlorrunScript: helpers/setup.js,_openretains only the YAML text._runsends that text toMaestroRunner, which writes one file in a temporary directory. Maestro resolves these references relative to the flow file, so the opened flow fails even when its dependencies exist beside the original file. Preserve the source directory and stage its dependencies, or make the file-opening limitation explicit. (docs.maestro.dev)🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

Add a device selector to the Scenarios panel: an "All devices" chip plus one chip per streamed device, so a Maestro flow can run on every streamed device or just the chosen ones. The selection updates live as devices come and go, and Run reports a clear error when nothing is selected. Add a "Samples" menu that loads ready-made example flows (settings walkthrough, search & input, gestures) exercising more Maestro commands. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Claim the run slot with a `_busy` flag set before the first await, so two callers can't both pass the guard while `maestro --version` is probed; clear it (and the owning process handle) in `finally` so a stream error can't wedge the runner. `stop()` only kills; the owning run clears state on exit. - `stop_maestro` reports "Stopped" when it actually killed a process, reading `MaestroRunner.running` and not only tracked runs. - README: replace the removed step-based scenario docs with a Maestro flow / `run_maestro` example and drop the stale `run_scenario` benchmark reference. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- Add a ScenarioStatus.stopped state. When a run is stopped, the killed Maestro process reports no shards, so the result loops in the panel and the run_maestro tool now check ScenarioRunsCubit.isStopped and mark the unfinished devices as stopped instead of "failed / No result from Maestro". - README: the run_maestro example used an iPhone with an Android appId, which would fail; use two Android devices. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
stop() previously only killed an already-assigned process, so a Stop during the `isAvailable()` probe or `Process.start()` await left the launch pending and a flow could still run. Add a cancel flag that stop() sets and run() checks after each await: it abandons the launch before spawning and kills a process that had just started, returning an empty (stopped) result so callers mark the devices stopped. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
`utf8.decoder` throws FormatException on non-UTF-8 bytes from Maestro/the JVM, which propagated through `asFuture`/`Future.wait` and left the maestro process orphaned (the finally cleared `_process`, so stop() could no longer reach it). Decode with `Utf8Decoder(allowMalformed: true)` and kill the process if reading its output fails. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
