A player noticed the "Weak to ..." badge on the raid screen does not match the attack buttons below it. The badge was always drawn in the Forge color, so "Weak to Ink" and "Weak to Signal" pointed at the wrong button.

The badge now takes its color from the same list the attack buttons use, so it matches the button to press. The unknown state ("Weakness: ?") is unchanged.

Test plan

  • Raidstead specs pass (152), with a new assertion that the badge and the matching attack button share a color and that it differs from the Forge button. The assertion fails with the fix removed.
  • Not checked in a browser yet: scout on alpha and confirm Ink, Signal and Forge each match their button.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Visual Improvements
    • Known boss-weakness badges now match the color of the corresponding attack type.

PR Summary by Qodo

Match Raidstead weakness badge color to its attack button

🐞 Bug fix 🧪 Tests 🕐 Less than 10 minutes

Grey Divider

AI Description

• Color known weakness badges using the matching attack button’s palette instead of always using
 Forge.
• Preserve the unknown weakness appearance and add a regression assertion for Ink.

High-Level Assessment

Reusing the attack buttons’ existing type-to-color palette keeps the badge aligned with the button to press. A separate badge color mapping would duplicate that source of truth.

Remediation recommended

1. The color test checks CSS plumbing 📘 Rule violation ▣ Testability
Description
attacks the wasp once the weakness is scouted reads the private --c style value from the badge
and attack buttons instead of asserting the rendered color or another accessible UI outcome. The
test passes as long as those implementation details match, so a broken visible color can go
undetected while an internal CSS refactor can fail an otherwise user-facing behavior test.
Code

apps/web/src/specs/features/raidstead/raidstead-game.spec.tsx[R931-934]

+ // the weakness badge wears the colour of the button to press
+      const badge = document.querySelector(".rs-weak.known") as HTMLElement;
+      expect(badge.style.getPropertyValue("--c")).toBe(attackButton("ink").style.getPropertyValue("--c"));
+      expect(badge.style.getPropertyValue("--c")).not.toBe(attackButton("forge").style.getPropertyValue("--c"));
Evidence
The test directly reads style.getPropertyValue("--c") from DOM elements and compares those
internal CSS variable values, rather than checking the rendered appearance or an accessible
user-facing result. This conflicts with the requirement that UI tests verify user-visible behavior
instead of internal implementation details.

Rule 2667994: UI tests must verify user-visible behavior rather than internal implementation details

Agent prompt
The issue below was found during a code review. Follow the provided context and guidance below and implement a solution

## Issue description
The new UI test compares the internal `--c` CSS custom property on the badge and attack buttons. This verifies implementation plumbing rather than the user-visible weakness badge color.
## Fix Focus Areas
- apps/web/src/specs/features/raidstead/raidstead-game.spec.tsx[931-934]
## Recommended Fix
Rewrite the assertion to verify the rendered appearance or another user-observable outcome, such as comparing computed styles for the badge and matching button, while keeping the assertion that the badge differs from the Forge button. Avoid asserting the private CSS custom-property value directly.

Valid: jsdom applies no stylesheet, so the inline value alone did not prove the badge is painted from it. Added in 0052a9d: raidstead-styles.spec.ts compiles raidstead.scss and asserts that the known weakness badge and the attack buttons each have a single background declaration and that it reads the type color. It fails when the stylesheet goes back to a fixed color. The inline assertion stays, since the two together cover both halves. Also checked in headless Chromium with the compiled stylesheet: badge and button backgrounds are identical for Ink, Signal and Forge.

The known boss-weakness badge now uses the color of the matching attack type. The feature test checks that the badge matches the corresponding attack button and differs from another attack button.

The weakness indicator sets the matching attack type color. The known badge uses that color, falling back to --rs-smith when --c is unset. The test checks that the badge matches the “ink” attack button and differs from the “forge” button.

Change: Bug fix · Severity of issue fixed: Low

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to 18ba0

The badge currently uses the matching attack color, but the feature test would not catch a later stylesheet regression. The change is mergeable with a focused style-aware or browser test as follow-up.

A rabbit saw the wasp badge glow,
In ink’s own shade, it now will show.
Forge stands apart in colors bright,
The test checks both against the light.
Then off the rabbit hops at night.

933-934: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick win

Cover the badge background contract.

The test only compares inline --c values. Vitest stubs all stylesheet imports, so getComputedStyle in this test cannot verify .rs-weak.known. Add a style-aware test that checks the stylesheet contract, or cover this assertion in a browser test. No other Raidstead feature test checks the badge background.
