Purpose

After consolidation, open Studio/Extensions contributions need a discoverable home and an explicit disposition before the source repositories can become read-only. This adds a dated register of all 205 open source issues and 31 PRs, preserving original URLs, authors, metadata, exact PR heads/bases and bounded technical dispositions. It documents Core as the current consolidated development route while preserving the accepted 3.8/3.9 maintenance procedure.

The register distinguishes represented changes from partial/unaccepted proposals; only Studio #1126 records the verified original hover-fix adoption. Thirteen issues with Core links remain related-only, with their rationale preserved. Historical source receipts remain unchanged. No source items are transferred or closed, and no publisher or repository setting changes.

Refs #8670 under #8216 / program #8194. Close the task after merged-record verification; structural milestone #8667 is already accepted.

Scope

  • Documentation update

Verification

Remaining operational boundary

Source-side notices/routing, the selected maintenance/npm publishing replacement, retirement of competing publisher authority and verified archival remain in the cutover work. Keeping an original source URL preserves readable history; it does not make that item an active Core delivery task or promise implementation of every proposal.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Documentation
    • Clarified where new Core, Extensions, and Studio contributions should be filed and what product and version details to include.
    • Documented handoff guidance for existing Studio and Extensions work, including preserving source links and author attribution.
    • Clarified that maintenance and publishing arrangements remain in place until an approved replacement is verified, and that historical records are not a live delivery queue.
    • Recorded the source-contributor handoff status, including that the source repositories have not been archived and further handoff work remains pending.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

Contribution guidance directs consolidated work to Core and retains existing source maintenance boundaries. The integration-program documentation records source inventory and dispositions, lists remaining cutover work, and distinguishes historical snapshots from the live delivery queue.

Before / after behavior

  • observed — Modified behavior in CONTRIBUTING.md: Adds contribution-routing guidance distinguishing new consolidated work from retained 3.8/3.9 maintenance, and directing existing Studio or Extensions contributions to the handoff register with continuation, linking, and attribution guidance.
  • observed — Modified behavior in docs/integration-program/README.md: The introduction now records consolidation under #8667 and identifies the program issue as the source for the live delivery queue and remaining operational cutover gates, replacing the statement that consolidation and other work remain acceptance items.
  • observed — Modified behavior in docs/integration-program/README.md: A new contribution handoff section directs consolidated development to Core and links the source handoff and attributed register for open Studio/Extensions work and remaining operations. It states that existing source maintenance and publishing boundaries remain until an approved replacement is verified, and that the register does not imply source archival or implementation of all retained proposals.
  • observed — Modified behavior in docs/integration-program/README.md: The former backlog-and-delivery section, including its current snapshot counts and delivery-state framing, is replaced by a historical-snapshots section. It labels the retained audit evidence as historical, links the hierarchy snapshot and initial reconciliation, and warns that open PRs do not establish issue completion and the frozen upstream-work receipt is not the current open-contribution inventory.

Independent Elsa 3 Code Review relay, posted by the implementation lead for the separate Sol 6.1 High reviewer. This is not author self-approval.

APPROVE + HIGH @ 7fa4760

The reviewer inspected the four committed documentation/data files and independently verified all 236 identities/shared metadata against both retained snapshots, all 31 bounded PR dispositions, the 13 exact relationship rationales (14 related-only edges / 12 Core items), nine paginated source-response digests and completion markers, and the actual Core adoption records. Core #8655 is correctly identified as a closed Task; the merged #8656/#8657 commits are included in main. Fourteen relative links resolve and the frozen historical ledger is unchanged. Earlier routing/maintenance wording findings are resolved; no actionable findings remain.

Review SHA-256: 0aa2d54061399a4123dd8eda636df7dc1cca64fe868cb24151e02bb7e5b0d94a. The lead separately compared every shared metadata field for all 236 rows with the 17:54 precommit refresh. Approval covers docs/data and the retained evidence; it does not claim runtime verification, source-item mutations or operational cutover. Normal CI and required same-head Greptile review remain pending.

Independent review reconfirmation, relayed by the implementation lead for the separate Sol 6.1 High reviewer:

APPROVE + HIGH @ 59257dc

The only change from reviewed 7fa4760bbf4138709b3a632599fc78498028dc3a makes CONTRIBUTING require an explicitly approved and verified maintenance replacement. The reviewer verified the exact one-phrase transformation; all remaining bytes and the other three files are unchanged. The complete 236-item data/disposition review still applies. No findings remain in the independent review.

Reconfirmation report SHA-256: 0b42def3378ae36107b805a3c84d3edd562ee7ae67df7ac2768b2a99830b1534. This addresses CodeRabbit discussion4222446896; the new head still requires its own CI and mandatory Greptile result.

RetriggerConfidence Score: 5/5

[Low risk] Documents contribution routing after repository consolidation.

Safe to merge within the documentation-only scope. Maintenance boundaries remain explicit, and the recorded handoff does not claim operational cutover, archival, or release acceptance.

What we checked:

  • Maintenance keeps its release path: The new guidance explicitly keeps the source procedure until an approved replacement is verified. This agrees with the accepted release decision.
  • The evidence upload path and remote destination do not exist, so uploads are blocked by the environment. T-Rex
  • There are no uploaded artifact references and the register-hand-off and contribution-hand-off outputs remain local within this workspace. T-Rex
  • The blocker persists: the available tool interfaces support filesystem editing, shell execution, search, and task tracking, but expose no artifact-upload endpoint; local check scripts and related logs are awaiting upload with no remote references. T-Rex

Summary

Records the Studio and Extensions contribution handoff and directs new consolidated work to Core.

  • Adds a dated register of 205 issues and 31 PRs, preserving source links, attribution, PR heads/bases, and bounded dispositions.
  • Keeps related Core links separate from accepted adoption and labels earlier backlog records as historical.
  • Preserves 3.8/3.9 maintenance until an explicitly approved replacement is verified.
  • The register's counts, unique identities, related-only references, and sole accepted adoption are internally consistent. The frozen historical import receipt remains unchanged, and all newly introduced local documentation links resolve.
  • No actionable findings. Safe to merge within the stated documentation/data scope; no runtime or release acceptance is claimed.

Explicitly deferred by sfmskywalker: source notices and routing, maintenance/npm publishing replacement, retirement of competing publisher authority, and verified archival remain separate cutover work.

T-Rex validation blocked

The register and documentation-link checks executed successfully, but evidence upload was unavailable because the environment exposes no artifact-upload operation or documented upload destination. The authored scripts and observed output remain saved locally; no completed uploads are claimed.

Lead merge-gate acceptance for 59257dc712b08580e1b359e059a7582279a38937, based on 658a9da06b2b77417f5c07eee00fff68478ba15c.

  • Independent Sol 6.1 High review: APPROVE + HIGH on this exact head. Greptile: 5/5 on the same head. CodeRabbit is successful; the one maintenance-wording finding is fixed and there are zero unresolved threads.
  • Packages and full PR CI passed, along with CodeQL/Code Quality and the other applicable checks. Original logs show 5,050 unit/integration plus 227 component passes; the broader PR run shows 7,865 passes. Totals overlap. Both retain 144 explicit UserTasks persistence-conformance skips; skipped tests are not claimed as passed. Package publication jobs were skipped.
  • The full PR run checked out d6964d98235cd8add1470db49ba0b119dad2790b, whose parents are the stated base/head and whose tree 412add1e4bf3c853b6a31e6773e7eb4f88aea012 equals the reviewed head. The lead independently rehashed and parsed the original full/unit logs and refreshed the exact-head gate immediately before merge.
  • The four-file documentation/data slice retains all 205 issues and 31 PRs from the two verified dated source snapshots, attribution and bounded dispositions. It changes no runtime or publisher code. No source notices, issue/PR mutations, publisher activation, package publication or archival are claimed.

Proceeding with the authorized merge. Final main-tree verification and Task #8670 closeout follow separately; parent #8216 and the program remain open for operational cutover.
