Only the latest release receives security fixes. Pre-release and development builds are not supported.

Please do not open a public issue for a security problem.
Use GitHub's private channel:
Please include:
- the affected version,
- reproduction steps or a proof of concept,
- the impact you believe it has (local privilege escalation, data exposure, remote code execution, …),
- and how you would like to be credited, or say that you would prefer to stay anonymous.
First response within 72 hours. If you get no reply after a week, ping the issue-less way — comment on any of your own issues or send a fresh advisory — rather than opening a public issue.
In scope:
- The desktop application in
src/andelectron/, and the packaging and release scripts inscripts/. - Anything that lets a local, remote, or co-located party read data it should not, execute code it should not, or reach the machine through the app's IPC surface, hook ingress, Feishu bridge, or remote/host tunnels.
Out of scope, or handled elsewhere:
- Session history files written by the agents themselves. A bug in Codex's or Claude Code's own storage is theirs to fix. ASC reads those files read-only; if it mishandles hostile content found inside one of them, that is in scope.
- The upstream project this repository derives from. See NOTICE; report upstream code issues upstream.
- Anything that needs an attacker to already control the user's machine or the user's own configured endpoints.
- Acknowledgement within 72 hours.
- An assessment and a fix or a decision not to fix, with reasoning, in the advisory thread.
- A patch release, and credit in the advisory unless you asked to stay anonymous.
- A public advisory once a fixed release is available.
Windows releases are not code-signed, so Windows may show a security prompt on first launch. The installer is built by this repository's release workflow from this repository's source, and each release publishes its SHA-256 next to the installer — that hash, checked against the release notes, is what ties a download to a published build. It does not prove who built it; that is what a code signature would add, and signing is planned but not yet in place. How to verify a download is described in the Code signing policy section of the README.
