Changes from the March 2026 CRAN submission round that were never pushed, rebased onto current main (where conflicts arose, main's newer version was kept).
@returnsdocumentation for all exported functions, cran-comments note.assert_objects.R,utils_regexes.R,utils_time.R,read_subtitles.R.tests/testthat.R: drop redundantlibrary(subtools).Test suite: one snapshot failure in
test_unnest_tokens.R:29, which also fails on main as is (likely a newer tidytext output).
