FCMON (**F**orward **C**arriage **Mon**itor)

Purpose: Display scalers for DSC2 and FADC250 modules on forward carriage.

Usage: fcmon

Restrictions:

• DiagGuiServer must be running on DSC2 and FADC250 ROCs.
• For FADC250 scaler readout TET>0 mode must be enabled and pedestals loaded using fadc250 command. Config files are in $CLON_PARMS/fadc250.
• For DSC2 scaler readout thresholds are set from $CLON_PARMS/dsc2/tdc<det><sector>.cnf. These files are loaded using command dimanv <roc> set <configfile> (e.g.- dimanv tdcecal1 set $CLON_PARMS/dsc2/tdcecal1.cnf).

GUI MAINFRAME:

• Click the Radio Buttons to select the following:
  1. Sector (1-6)
  2. Detector (ECAL, PCAL, FTOF, LTCC)
  3. Crate (FADC, DSC2, BOTH)
• Menu item Monitor/Scalers to display scaler tabs, shown below.

SLOTS TAB (CRATE: DSC2 or FADC):

• Shows scalers using slot/channel format
• Slot numbers read directly from hardware

SLOTS TAB (CRATE: BOTH):

• Shows both DSC2 discriminator and FADC250 scalers
• Used to help diagnose cable breaks and threshold settings

RATES TAB:

• Shows scaler rates in Hz using detector/view/PMT format
• Buttons for accumulating counts and Y-axis LIN/LOG

STRIPCHARTS TAB:

• Shows scaler rates (Z-axis) as stripcharts using detector/view/PMT format
• Buttons for Z-axis LIN/LOG and slidebar for adjusting ZMIN/ZMAX.
