docs: t27o front-end census of the roadmap repos -- Zig, deeper Rust, Python, TypeScript, shell, ranked #10599

Closed

Description

@gHashTag

Goal

Record the front-end census of the roadmap repositories (Python, TypeScript, Zig, shell) in the t27o dogfood document, so the choice of t27o's next front end rests on numbers anyone can re-take. Part of #10522.

Deliverable

A section "Beyond Rust" in docs/nona-03-manifest/T27O-COMPETITORS-AND-DOGFOOD.md: per language, files, distinct fns, the share inside a stated first subset, the top first blockers, the stage of the roadmap each maps to, and the ranking (Zig, deeper Rust, Python, TypeScript, shell) with its caveats (Zig and shell coarse; the subsets are ours). Plus the after-numbers of #10593 in the Rust section.

Done when

Every figure names its method and the repository commits; coarse figures are labelled coarse; ASCII only.

Boundary

  • May touch: docs/nona-03-manifest/T27O-COMPETITORS-AND-DOGFOOD.md only.

Links

#10522, #10597 (the Zig front end it proposes), #8995.

User Scenarios

  • Given the t27o dogfood document exists, when a contributor reads the "Beyond Rust" section, then they see per-language census figures (files, distinct functions, subset share, top blockers, roadmap stage, ranking) with methods and commits cited.
  • Given the Rust section already exists, when the after-numbers from t27o: five refusal classes from the roadmap dogfood convert (Closes #10526) #10593 are appended, then the Rust entry reflects the updated counts with the same labelling discipline.

Requirements

FR-001: The document docs/nona-03-manifest/T27O-COMPETITORS-AND-DOGFOOD.md MUST contain a new section titled "Beyond Rust".
FR-002: The "Beyond Rust" section MUST present, for each of Zig, deeper Rust, Python, TypeScript, and shell: files counted, distinct functions counted, share inside the stated first subset, top first blockers, roadmap stage mapping, and the ranking order (Zig, deeper Rust, Python, TypeScript, shell) with caveats.
FR-003: Every figure MUST name its measurement method and the repository commit it was taken from.
FR-004: Coarse figures MUST be explicitly labelled as coarse.
FR-005: The document MUST use ASCII only.
FR-006: The existing Rust section MUST be updated with the after-numbers from issue #10593, following the same labelling rules.

Closed by the issue-shape gate (specs/policy/issue_shape.t27, #7498): an issue must have the template's sections. Edit the body; an edit that passes reopens it.
