compiler.rs AsmConfig::align_address calls the existing specs/fpga/assembler.t27 align_address (DRY, found by t27o) #9116
t27o converts AsmConfig::align_address(addr: u32, alignment: u32) -> u32, and its oracle passes. t27c dupes --name align_address finds the function already in specs/fpga/assembler.t27:195. If the two agree on the hand Rust's vectors (including alignment 0), the port is a use, not a new spec.
User Scenarios
Given align_address(13, 8), align_address(16, 8) and align_address(5, 0), when compiler.rs computes them, then the values come from the generated code of specs/fpga/assembler.t27 and equal what the hand body returned.
Requirements
FR-001: The port MUST first compare specs/fpga/assembler.t27's align_address with the hand Rust on vectors that the hand Rust prints on the lab (0, 1, powers of two, non-powers, alignment 0, values near u32::MAX). Only when they agree does it reuse it. Otherwise it MUST report the difference and stop.
FR-002: The hand fn MUST become a one-line call into the gen-rust output of specs/fpga/assembler.t27 (or a slice of it under bootstrap/gen/rust/), mounted by #[path].
FR-003: The PR MUST satisfy the owner's port rule (net <= 0, corpus byte-identical, cargo test equal to master, FROZEN_HASH).
Success Criteria
t27c test-report specs/fpga/assembler.t27 passes with a test that holds the hand Rust's align_address vectors.
The diff touches compiler.rs only inside the fn named in this issue, apart from the one #[path] mount block at the top of the file.
Region lines to be added once the merge-side region check is live (see #9062).
Closed by the issue-shape gate (specs/policy/issue_shape.t27, #7498): an issue must have the template's sections. Edit the body; an edit that passes reopens it.
missing: ## Success Criteria -- an outcome a machine can settle: a number with a unit, a backticked file, exit 0, or a backticked command
