ci: restore rust_convert native pass (reference CSE hoist regression) #9632

Open

Description

@dmitrii-f-t27

Summary

Restore the native pass for rust_convert without hiding its regression. Active implementation is assigned to the owner's Claude lane; do not start a second implementation.

Boundary

  • specs/tools/t27o/rust_convert.t27
  • gen/rust/tools/t27o/rust_convert.rs
  • .trinity/seals/t27o_T27oRust.json

User Scenarios

Given the converter's existing format output cases, when reference and native tests run, then both preserve the converter contract and native execution passes.

Requirements

FR-001: The proven FnDecl(reference CSE hoist) failure MUST be diagnosed and fixed in source .t27 where possible.
FR-002: Existing tests, assertions, converter outputs and coverage MUST be preserved.
FR-003: The expectation MUST NOT be changed from pass to blocked; no ratchet weakening, cap increase or manually edited generated output.
FR-004: Generated files and seals MUST be produced with standard tooling only.

Success Criteria

The rust_convert native check and reference executable tests exit 0. Ratchet artifacts no longer list rust_convert as UNEXPECTED FAILURE. Other UNLISTED findings remain separate and must not be called fixed by this change. Final-SHA CI is checked.

Evidence

Current master cd8a656:
https://github.com/gHashTag/t27/actions/runs/38757535373 .
PR9630 ae88001:
https://github.com/gHashTag/t27/actions/runs/38758247517 .
Both downloaded t27b-native-run/ratchet.json artifacts report UNEXPECTED FAILURE for specs/tools/t27o/rust_convert.t27: ledger pass, now blocked FnDecl(reference CSE hoist).
Master has158 UNLISTED, PR9630 has159; OVER CAP0 in both. Those are separate findings.
Boundary generated paths must be verified against actual tracked outputs before publication; omit any not applicable and add any actual generator outputs.

Closed by the issue-shape gate (specs/policy/issue_shape.t27, #7498): an issue must have the template's sections. Edit the body; an edit that passes reopens it.

    • missing: ## Boundary -- list every file this task may touch, one per line (- specs/x.t27); without it the Queen reserves nothing and no bee can take the issue
    • missing: ## User Scenarios -- at least one Given/When/Then scenario
    • missing: ## Requirements -- numbered obligations, FR-001: ... MUST ...
    • missing: ## Success Criteria -- an outcome a machine can settle: a number with a unit, a backticked file, exit 0, or a backticked command

The shape check passes now (specs/policy/issue_shape.t27); reopened.

Coordination: the parallel codex/ci-repair-9622-9630 lane independently prepared the same two expression-reuse changes in out_format. Its rebuilt native t27b test --check now reports 65 passed, 0 failed, 146 runtime asserts (2026-10-15 15:40 UTC); the reference baseline was 65/65 with no vacuous tests. This lane will not publish a competing rust_convert PR; please keep #9632 as its publication issue. We retain gen_w-family deduplication, cli-tri stale-test/census repair, and the mesh crypto mismatch. No ledger cap or failure expectation has been changed. Dmitrii Fedorov (@dmitrii-f-t27)
