cli-tri has been red on master since #10283: its step "No census moved without saying so" (tri census pin --gate) fails with quiet moved and shell moved. #10283 (834f258) added the claw/t27f job to .github/workflows/gate-topology.yml and did not re-bless the census in the same commit.

What moved

  • tools/census/shell.txt
    • jobs 88 -> 89;
    • run: steps 314 -> 316;
    • steps whose shell is named by the runner 293 -> 295.
  • tools/census/quiet.txt
    • steps in a quiet shape 32 -> 33. The new one is gated on a file existing (9 -> 10), and its path contains a variable (6 -> 7).
    • named a path but not quiet 200 -> 204.

The workflow itself is not changed: a step gated on a file existing is often legitimate, which is why the census reports it apart.

Measured

On the Railway lab, on master 30b4363:

  • tri census pin --gate failed with the two moves above;
  • tri census pin --bless wrote these two files;
  • the sha256 of each file in this commit matches the lab output.

Nothing is hand-edited.

Not in scope

The other reds on master: duplicate-bodies (groups from other specs) and the t27b-native-ratchet row for ddr3_head_bandwidth.

The claw/t27f check from #10283 (834f258) added one job and two run:
steps to .github/workflows/gate-topology.yml without re-blessing the
census, so `tri census pin --gate` has failed on master since:

- shell: jobs 88 -> 89, run: steps 314 -> 316, runner-named shell
  293 -> 295.
- quiet: steps in a quiet shape 32 -> 33 (one new step gated on a file
  existing, 9 -> 10, with a variable in its path, 6 -> 7); named a path
  but not quiet 200 -> 204.

Both files are `tri census pin --bless` output on master 30b4363,
run on the Railway lab; not hand-edited.

Superseded by #10304 (238b6a9), which landed the same tri census pin --bless output: git diff origin/master -- tools/census/ is empty against this branch.
