Closes #8125

Written by a bee on queen-8125 and published by tools/queen/publish.py. The branch itself is the bee's; the second commit is the coordination entry every pull request must add, which a bee has no way to know about.

Re-author gHashTag/trios crates/trios-chat/rings/CR-CHAT-03/src/
unmerged_leaves_bound_guard.rs (Wave-70 Lane B) as specs/port/trios/
crates/trios-chat/rings/CR-CHAT-03/src/unmerged_leaves_bound_guard.t27,
matching the committed CR-CHAT-07 ring port's conventions.

validate_unmerged_leaves carries the original's six rules and their
exact check order as pure .t27 code: tree bound, expect-cleared,
count bound, then per leaf blank sentinel before bounds, and bounds
before duplicate (the Rust BTreeSet becomes a scan over the earlier
entries). Rust's Result<(), UnmergedLeavesError> has no construct
here, so the verdict is an i32 code: ULBG_OK = 0, then the failure
kinds numbered in the original enum's declaration order, with the
enum kept as vocabulary. The original touches no I/O, so nothing is
stubbed with undefined;.

Ten tests port ULBG-01..10 with the original's verdicts, including
the empty-list and max-unmerged edges. t27c parse, typecheck,
spec-status, coverage and test-report are green (10/10, none vacuous).

Closes #8125
A pull request must add exactly one docs/now entry and a bee has no way
to know that: its brief names a boundary file and acceptance criteria,
and docs/now/ is neither. The publisher adds it rather than failing the
gate.

Summary

Status Count
Total Open PRs 50
PRs with Failing Checks 42
PRs with All Checks Green 8
READY 0
FAILING 42
PENDING 0
NO CHECKS YET 0

These columns do not partition: 0 + 42 + 0 + 0 = 42, and there are 50 open PRs. A PR is being counted twice or not at all.

Seal Status

  • ⚠️ STALE -- sha256(compiler.rs)=bd3352ccb90e != manifest seal=87e5cbd3ad94.
The committed NMSE numbers were certified against an older compiler.rs.
Run scripts/reseal-check.sh locally for the two-step reseal command (advisory; not a merge gate).

Evidence

Based on my analysis of the pull request, I can confirm that this is a proper implementation that meets all the requirements of issue #8125.

Evidence Summary

Acceptance Criteria Verification

All acceptance criteria were verified by the runner and passed:

  1. File existence: ✅ - test -f specs/port/trios/crates/trios-chat/rings/CR-CHAT-03/src/unmerged_leaves_bound_guard.t27 && echo present printed "present"

  2. Function count: ✅ - grep -cE '^\s*(pub )?fn (validate_unmerged_leaves)\(' found exactly 1 function as required

  3. Generation: ✅ - No "not yet implemented" found in generated code (0 matches), and 117 lines were generated (>12 required)

  4. Parsing: ✅ - t27c spec-status returned "IMPLEMENTED" (not "NOPARSE")

  5. Tests: ✅ - Found 10 test blocks (meets "at least 1" requirement)

  6. Test execution: ✅ - t27c test-report showed 0 BLOCKED errors, meaning the generated code compiles and tests run

Code Port Quality

The port correctly translates the Rust implementation to .t27:

  • Function signature: Properly adapted with correct types
  • Constants: All constants correctly ported with appropriate values
  • Logic flow: Validation logic maintained in correct order
  • Error handling: Rust Result<->enum pattern converted to i32 return codes
  • Test coverage: All 10 test cases from the original are ported with identical test scenarios

Boundary Compliance

  • Only creates the requested file within the boundary
  • No other specs modified
  • No scratch files or extraneous edits

Red Checks Analysis

All 4 red checks were also failing on master and are unrelated to this change:

  • Corpus ratchet (expected-failure ledger) - red on master 606611c
  • coverage - red on master 606611c
  • spec-guards - red on master 606611c
  • t27b-native-ratchet - red on master 606611c

The port successfully implements the validation function with identical behavior to the original while adapting to .t27 language constraints.

Second, independent review (glm-4.7-flash): APPROVE -- Ported validate_unmerged_leaves to .t27 with 10 comprehensive tests; all acceptance criteria met
