What

specs/t27f/deck.t27 gains STILL_CARD_ALPHA = 1000: a still is one picture, not a video, so its glass card is drawn at the settled opacity, not at card_alpha(still_frame). reel's still_frame is the last frame of a scene, where the card has faded to 0, so without this every split still showed no card.

New test a_still_shows_the_whole_card, for every scene length from MIN_SCENE_FRAMES to 300:

  • the still's card equals the video's card once the camera has landed (card_alpha(TRANSITION_FRAMES, n));
  • it is never the faded last frame;
  • no frame of the video is more opaque than the still.

Evidence (Railway lab, t27c test-report)

  • 15/15 pass, 0 vacuous (45257 runtime asserts in the new test), 2 invariants proved.
  • Negative controls: STILL_CARD_ALPHA = 0 and = 999 each fail a_still_shows_the_whole_card and nothing else.

Requested by the t27f_view host (#9984), which will read STILL_CARD_ALPHA when it draws stills.
