REVIEW_APPROVED

Verified independently (not just trusting the report):

  • src/channels.rs: Slack now sends a Block Kit section alongside the required plain-text fallback; Discord now sends an embeds array instead of content. Buttons were deliberately omitted for Slack with a clear comment (no Slack interactivity endpoint exists to receive taps), consistent with YAGNI and the task's "where the channel supports interactive callbacks" qualifier.
  • crates/flare-channels/src/telegram.rs: card_body now supports an empty-buttons path (omits reply_markup rather than sending an empty row), with a new test covering it.
  • src/supervisor/notify.rs: notify_human_gate now renders the same HTML-card template used by notify_pr_approval_gate/notify_plan_approval_gate, with no button — checked every call site (supervisor.rs, work_auth_expiry.rs, orphan_reconcile.rs) and none has a single-tap follow-up action, so omitting the button is the right call, not a shortcut.
  • Docs (guides.md) accurately describe the new card/Block Kit/embed behavior and don't overclaim Slack/Discord interactivity.
  • Ran build, targeted unit tests (flare-channels::telegram, agentflare::channels), and cargo clippy -p agentflare -p flare-channels --all-targets --all-features -- -D warnings -A unsafe_code -A clippy::pedantic (matching CI's actual flags) myself — all clean/passing.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

The change replaces plain-text channel output with structured Slack, Discord, and Telegram cards. Telegram human-gate notifications now show escaped item details and gate reasons without action buttons.

Changes

Rich channel rendering

Layer / File(s) Summary
Slack and Discord card payloads
src/channels.rs, docs-site/src/content/docs/guides.md
Slack requests now include a Block Kit section and fallback text. Discord requests now use an embed description. Documentation and tests describe and verify the new payloads.
Telegram card composition
crates/flare-channels/src/telegram.rs
Telegram cards omit reply_markup when no buttons are provided. The regression test verifies HTML parsing and the buttonless payload.
Human-gate Telegram notifications
src/supervisor/notify.rs, docs-site/src/content/docs/guides.md
Human-gate notifications now send escaped HTML containing the item name and gate reason without buttons. Approval-ready PR documentation retains the inline approval button and chat restriction.

Long Slack notifications may fail to reach users, and Telegram documentation gives an incorrect expectation about message formatting. These issues should be addressed before merge.

supervisor — merge conflict

This PR now conflicts with its base branch and can't be merged automatically. Rebase or merge the base branch in and resolve the conflicts, then push.

(Set auto_resolve_conflicts = true under [review_sweep] in .agentflare/config.toml -- project or user-home -- to have an agent attempt this automatically instead.)

Correct the Telegram channel send description.

agentflare channel send --to telegram sends a plain {chat_id, text} request. Slack renders a Block Kit section, and Discord renders an embed. The supervisor’s human-gate notifications use a separate Telegram HTML-card path. Update this text to describe Telegram separately from the Slack and Discord cards.

Handle Slack Block Kit text limits.

send_message passes arbitrary text to build_request, which inserts it unchanged into one Slack mrkdwn section. Messages over Slack’s 3,000-character text-object limit can be rejected. Split the content into sections within the limit, and add 3,000- and 3,001-character boundary tests.
