SELF_REPAIR_PR_LABEL, NEEDS_HUMAN_PR_LABEL, and coderabbit_capped so it returns

self-repair is also present. Preserve the existing selection behavior in other

- Around line 122-125: Update the completion predicate used by
coderabbit_repair_or_gate to compare completion against the fingerprint of the
current capped findings, rather than only the previously announced fingerprint.
Ensure new findings at the attempt cap are still recognized as requiring repair

later sweeps.
- Around line 145-148: Update the capped-comment matching in the comments
iterator to extract the stored fingerprint field and compare it exactly with
fingerprint; do not use substring matching, so only an identical capped set is
treated as already announced.
- Around line 401-407: Pending fixed results can be removed from metadata after
detached-result posting even when their fix SHA is not on the PR. Update
post_detached_results to exclude pending fixed results from both posting and
removal, preserving them until the SHA is confirmed; keep the existing
update_metadata and remove_thread_result behavior for eligible results.

…man label swap Review follow-ups on the cap / CI-green flip-flop fix: drop a detached fixed result once its sha is on the PR (the previous branch was unreachable), clear the recorded cap when findings clear so needs-human can be reverted, re-ensure the needs-human PR label when the cap was announced but the label swap failed, make the regression loop re-enter the cap branch, skip the capped lookup unless the PR carries needs-human, and remove the unused reply_then_resolve. Fixes the supervisor flip-flop tracked as agentflare item #691 (not a GitHub PR number).
Problem
On PR #829 the supervisor posted ~358 "CI green" and ~359 "CodeRabbit review repair cap reached" comments, one pair per sweep.
coderabbit_repair_or_gatecapped and setneeds-human;handle_ci_greenthen saw a green PR carryingneeds-human, reverted it toin-reviewand commented; the next sweep capped again.Changes
handle_ci_green(merge.rs): leavesneeds-humanalone while CodeRabbit repair is capped with unresolved findings. The capped lookup only runs when the PR carriesneeds-human.coderabbit_repair_or_gate(review_bots.rs): the cap is announced once per findings fingerprint (metadata keycoderabbit_repair_cap_for, with the cap comment as a fallback, matched exactly). The itemneeds-human-gatelabel is always applied.needs-humancan be reverted on a PR that is clean again.needs-human(the label swap failed), the label is re-ensured on later sweeps without a new comment.reply_and_settleposts the reply and logs, rather than fails, when the thread cannot be resolved.reply_then_resolvehad no production caller left and is removed with its tests.supervisor.rs: test-only, thread-local recording of PR-stage comments.Tests
coderabbit_cap_and_ci_green_do_not_flip_flop_across_sweeps: 8 sweeps ofhandle_ci_green+coderabbit_repair_or_gate, with the cap branch re-entered each sweep; zero "CI green" PR comments and exactly one cap comment.coderabbit_cap_announced_requires_exact_fingerprint_not_substring, plus the cap-closes assertion on the fingerprint-differs test.sweep_drops_a_body_level_fixed_result_once_its_sha_is_on_the_pr,sweep_settles_a_fixed_thread_when_resolve_fails_like_body_level_findings.Known and left as is
needs-human, a cap on a new fingerprint adds the item gate label without a new comment or notification. This is the intended anti-spam behaviour, but it means a second cap on an already-gated PR is silent.src/mcp_server/types.rs(thethread_iddescription forreview_result) still says a fixed result under a non-thread id is reported in a PR-level comment; it is now dropped once its sha is on the PR.Summary by CodeRabbit
