🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick win
Do not persist a shared name for an unusable instance ID.
If the stored instance ID is flared: or has a suffix with no ASCII-alphanumeric characters, stable_instance_id() can pass it to this function. Line 334 gives those IDs the same i-flare-unknown name, and ensure_machine_name() persists it. Reject or repair the stored ID before deriving a default name so separate instances do not share a beacon: label.

Follow-up to #886 (item #351).
The default
[bridge] machine_namewas<hostname>-<6 hex>. It is now AWS-instance-id style:i-flare-<12 hex of the instance id>, e.g.i-flare-51bb8de6c33bforflared:51bb8de6c33b.beacon:<name>labels and PR footers; the instance id is hashed from the machine id precisely so the raw identity is not exposed, and a hostname in a label undoes that.host).owner=flared:<hex>claim markers, so a label can be matched to claim comments directly.default_machine_namenow takes only the instance id (hostname parameter removed); thesessions::os_hostnamevisibility change from #886 is reverted. Existing names are never overwritten, and a friendly name is still oneagentflare config set machine-nameaway.Tests updated: exact format, distinct ids give distinct names, a fallback id is sanitised and never empty, result passes the label character check. clippy with CI's exact flags is clean; machine_name (11), init (37), doctor (4) pass.
