Security Measures

See docs/security.md for a full description of the security controls implemented in this project.

Key measures include:

  • PID validation — PIDs 1-9 (system processes) are unconditionally rejected
  • Kill rate limiting — max 5 kills per machine per minute
  • SIGKILL requires explicit force: true
  • Process command lines are sanitized to redact secrets before being returned to callers
  • SSH key paths are stored — the SSH client reads the key for authentication, but API and MCP responses redact the path to *** and never carry key contents
  • All user inputs are validated with Zod schemas
