Proposed change

Add an options flow to the OpenEVSE integration allowing users to configure sensor entities whose live states are pushed to OpenEVSE:

  • Grid import/export power (with optional invert option)
  • Solar power
  • Shaper live power consumption
  • Grid voltage
  • Vehicle battery state of charge (SoC)
  • Vehicle range
  • Vehicle time to full charge (ETA)
  • Home battery state of charge (SoC)
  • Home battery power

Entity selectors include domain, device class, and unit of measurement filters where appropriate (e.g., power sensors for grid/solar/shaper/home battery power, voltage for grid voltage, percentage for SoC, distance for range). State changes are tracked and forwarded to the OpenEVSE device with appropriate unit conversions and error handling.

Type of change

  • Dependency upgrade
  • Bugfix (non-breaking change which fixes an issue)
  • New integration (thank you!)
  • New feature (which adds functionality to an existing integration)
  • Deprecation (breaking change to happen in the future)
  • Breaking change (fix/feature causing existing functionality to break)
  • Code quality improvements to existing code or addition of tests

Quality scale review

✅ No issues found at 6e765e8. Checked 8 done/exempt rules (config-flow-test-coverage, test-coverage, entity-event-setup, log-when-unavailable, action-exceptions, runtime-data, config-entry-unloading, strict-typing) for openevse; none are violated by the changed lines. (docs-configuration-parameters was skipped per review scope since its evidence lives in the documentation repository.)
