The old version will be directly replaced by the new one, and all existing user benefits will be fully retained.
🚀 Enjoy better performance, a modern UI, and new features.
Legacy tutorials and FAQ remain available here to support existing users. See Tutorials and FAQ for connection guides and troubleshooting.
After a full year of hard work and refinement, we're excited to introduce a completely new version of this app. Here's why we chose to rebuild it from the ground up:
We've redesigned the user interface to be more modern, intuitive, and visually appealing—now with full dark-mode support for a more comfortable experience in low-light environments.
This new version is just the beginning—more powerful features are on the way. Thank you for your support, and we hope you enjoy the improved experience!
Powerful commands. Practical tools. More control over Android.
Run shell commands, manage apps, transfer files, capture screenshots, and control Android TV—from one Android toolbox.

- Turn commands into a repeatable workflow. Reuse history, suggestions, and predefined commands instead of starting from scratch.
- Manage more from your phone. Work with apps, files, screenshots, and connected devices in the same toolbox.
- Make TV control more convenient. Navigate with a remote controller and send text without selecting every character on a TV keyboard.
- Keep useful evidence. Save terminal output, share results, inspect system information, and read logcat while troubleshooting.
The following capabilities document the legacy app. Availability depends on the installed edition, release, Android version, and device permissions. The original Shell compatibility range was Android 4.x–Android 13; the tutorial index also includes Android 14 guidance. This does not establish support for every newer release.
- Android 4.x–Android 13 support: use the legacy Shell workflow across the originally documented Android versions.
- Pairing mode: pair with supported devices through wireless debugging.
- Wireless ADB over Wi-Fi: connect to a device without keeping a USB cable attached after setup.
- Local ADB shell: run commands on the phone hosting the app after enabling its ADB connection.
- Associative input: use input suggestions to reduce repeated typing.
- Automatic output saving: keep command results for later review.
- Output sharing: share terminal output with friends or someone helping you troubleshoot.
- Command history: return to commands you have already used.
- Quick command copying: copy a command for reuse or sharing.
- Multiple windows: work across separate Shell windows.
- Colored text: read terminal output with color support.
- Background execution: keep the Shell workflow running in the background, subject to Android's background restrictions.
- Command recommendations: discover useful commands from suggestions.
- File recommendations: use file suggestions while preparing commands.
- Predefined commands: start common tasks with ready-to-use commands.
- Logcat: inspect Android logs when investigating device or app behavior.
- Application management: launch, uninstall, download applications, force-stop them, clear their data, and disable or enable them.
- Device management: manage the devices connected to your ADB workflow.
- Running applications: inspect which apps are running while investigating device activity.
- Screenshots: capture the connected device's screen.
- Push files: send files to a connected device.
- APK installation: install application packages in legacy releases that include this function.
- Pull files: retrieve files from a connected device.
- Remote media access: open remote images, audio, and video files directly.
- Remote controller: control a connected device, including Android TV workflows.
- Text input: send text to the connected device.
- System monitor: inspect system activity from the toolbox.
- System information: view device and system details.
- Property information: inspect Android system properties.
APK availability: The original feature list includes application download/backup and APK installation. Later legacy releases restricted these functions; see the original APK FAQ. The list preserves the historical capabilities and does not promise that every installed legacy release contains them. For current capabilities, see DroidKit's complete feature set.
- Develop and debug: run ADB or Shell commands, inspect logcat, and save output to revisit a problem.
- Manage applications: inspect running apps and use the app actions available in your release.
- Move files and capture results: push or pull files, open remote media, and take screenshots.
- Control Android TV: use the remote controller and text input for everyday navigation.
- Investigate device behavior: combine system monitoring, system information, and property inspection.
