As a user, I want to track common investment benchmarks, such as the S&P500, to compare my investing portfolios and strategies against.
Description of work
The software should include a data pipeline to track common benchmarks. This pipeline should show the benchmarking data in the user interface where it is meaningful to users.
The team successfully implemented stock benchmarking functionality within the application and resolved key issues, including a bug affecting user logout during account creation. The epic is not complete, with only minor refinements remaining. Opportunities for improvement include addressing inconsistencies within the benchmarking layer of the stock portfolio to ensure more reliable performance. The work wasn't able to be merged into the actual application due to siginifacantly increasing load times to an undesired level. In retrospect, the team identified the importance of aligning team size with project scope, as uneven workload distribution left some members underutilized. Documentation file could be found here
