As a member of the ecosystem, I want a toolkit to help me and my team reach out to organizations and individuals for ecosystem/product financial support.
Description of work
A toolkit with various lists, templates, and lessons learned will be created to keep track of potential donors, establish outreach policies/governance before outreach occurs, facilitate effective donor outreach, track interactions with donors, etc. The toolkit also must contain a tool to track contacts with donors to avoid excessive contact of the same donor and to document outcomes of contact.
The team has completed Features 1 and 5 of the donor outreach toolkit and is currently midway through Feature 2 within the five-feature donor outreach toolkit framework. Completed work includes the creation of email and LinkedIn templates, a call script, a short presentation deck, and a tracking dashboard to organize and prioritize outreach efforts. The epic remains in progress, with opportunities to expand the toolkit by developing more targeted templates for different donor segments, such as alumni and financial executives. The team also noted the importance of reviewing materials with Jeff prior to use to ensure accuracy and avoid overpromising. In retrospect, the team highlighted the value of establishing clear collaboration practices early, particularly to manage team member availability and absences effectively.
