How do you lend against money that may arrive from tax incentives, distribution contracts, controlled accounts, insurance proceeds, or rights that have not yet been sold—while a production is still moving toward completion and delivery?
That is the puzzle this knowledgebase explores.
MediaHedge sits at the intersection of creative production and disciplined credit. This repository turns the company’s film- and television-finance framework into a navigable field guide: how a potential loan becomes financeable, how exposure is sized, how cash and collateral are controlled, how changing risk is monitored, and how a financing partner can evaluate downside and return.
You do not need to be a film-finance specialist. Pick the question that brought you here and follow the trail.

Conceptual view: each stage produces evidence and a decision. Current policy, approved exceptions, executed documents, and transaction facts still control any specific financing.
The central idea is simple: film-finance credit is a connected system. A loan is not protected by one document, one repayment source, or one attractive coupon. It depends on a chain of financeability, eligibility, sizing, control, servicing, remedies, and portfolio discipline.
- Financeability: why complete sources, uses, timing, contingency, and delivery matter to several repayment paths at once. Start with Full Financing.
- Repayment: how contracted pre-sales, tax incentives, unsold-rights value, insurance proceeds, and controlled cash differ. See the Repayment and Risk Map.
- Exposure: how eligible value meets advance rates, concentration limits, leverage, budget exposure, term, and liquidity. Follow Loan Sizing.
- Control: how security interests, assignments, notices, accounts, and waterfalls make rights operational. Explore Security Package and Cash Control and Waterfalls.
- Protection: why Completion Protection, Surety and Credit Protection, production insurance, structural cushion, and monitoring address different failure modes. Walk through the Protection Stack.
- Change and downside: how servicing information becomes action and how recovery options are preserved under stress. Read Monitoring and Servicing and Defaults, Workouts, and Recoveries.
- Partnership and performance: how authority, concentration, cash timing, costs, and losses affect a financing relationship. Continue to Financing-Partner Governance, Portfolio Construction, and Return Economics.
This is not a pile of marketing pages. It is designed as a maintained knowledge system.
- Source-grounded: durable explanations trace back to preserved source snapshots.
- Decision-first: navigation begins with the questions a financing partner is likely to ask.
- Explicit about uncertainty: policy status, missing authority, inference, and open questions remain visible.
- Designed for distinctions: eligibility is not valuation; cash direction is not account control; insurance is not a completion guaranty; stated coupon is not realized return.
- Recoverable and auditable: Windows regression checks, additive Git history, milestone tags, an independent mirror, and checksum-protected bundles preserve prior generations.

git clone https://github.com/jongos/mh-wiki.gitRun tools\generate-publish-navigation.cmd to rebuild the reader labels and SEO index from all public notes. Run tools\wiki-test.cmd before releasing code changes. After publishing, run tools\publish-audit.cmd: it requires the exact public inventory, SHA-256 agreement for every public note and asset, working crawler preload targets and no indexing blocks on every public note, complete sitemap coverage, and real-browser navigation/search checks. A stale sitemap remains a failed deployment audit even when the content checks pass.
Submit https://mediafinance.guide/sitemap.xml in the verified Google Search Console property after the full deployment audit passes. Sitemap submission requests discovery and crawling; it does not confirm that Google indexed every page. Keep DNS verification records in the DNS provider, and do not store account credentials in this public repository. Record the actual submission result and any unresolved coverage errors in the operation log.
The narrow Cloudflare discovery Worker is maintained in tools/discovery-worker.mjs. Its routes are mediafinance.guide/sitemap.xml and mediafinance.guide/robots.txt. It builds the sitemap from Obsidian's current public index, requires boolean publish: true, excludes evidence and operations paths, and includes valid page-update dates. It returns HTTP 503 instead of an empty successful sitemap when the upstream index fails. Its short cache lifetime allows newly published pages to appear without redeploying a static URL list. If public page naming conventions change, update the allowlist and tests together. To roll back, detach only these two Worker routes; Obsidian resumes serving its native discovery files. Never attach this Worker to the entire site.
Deploy the discovery service with an already-authorized Cloudflare CLI session using wrangler deploy --config tools/discovery-worker.wrangler.jsonc. Run the full local suite before deployment and the live audit afterward. The configuration disables public Worker preview URLs and limits routing to the two discovery paths.

This knowledgebase is educational. It explains the framework represented in the available material; it does not approve a transaction, certify current policy, establish enforceability, or replace current legal, tax, insurance, accounting, program, or investment review.
Current approved policy, executed transaction documents, verified performance information, and qualified professional advice control any specific financing decision.
